      • ^^ the number of helical teeth. The 135 clutch bell will have 74, i dont remember how many the RX100 would have. sorry.

Was researching on the prospect of installing the RXG clutch bell and primary gear for taller ratios, but realised i will have to change the oi pump to the RXG as well. ( today itself )

          • ^ I would suggest you to go through www.rddreams.com website to know about Ron Chinoy's digital CDI. It is far better than stock.

As there is detailed write up put up on their site. Go through and learn the difference.

Absolutely correct on the first part, but the number of teeth are same for both. Its just that 100's clutch assembly looks a bit smaller with 5 plates & 135's clutch assembly being slightly bigger with 6 plates.

Number of teeth are different for 135 & G. 135 clutch unit can be fitted to 100 with some minor modification.

RDD sells this stuff & hence it has to have some positive writeup on its products. I also work for a product selling company (One of the biggest in the world) & our marketing strategy is such as to lure the customers, but it no way the quality is bad, but but there may be other reputed companies offering better products. This is marketing strategy.

I would recommend you to share your experiences with all the xbhpians here, rather than asking people to refer that site. We all here want practical results.

Even i have read stuffs like RDD CDI makes the engine run cooler etc etc, Boss where is the proof ? Has there been some Temperature Vs Time curve plotted ? Were there some Transducers installed inside or outside the cylinder ?

Kindly share some detailed info on your experience with this product if it is so good & better than stock CDI.

I understand and appreciate your knowledge on mechanics. However, I would say one has to feel the difference. I felt when I switched over from Stock to RDD CDI. Boss, I would not be able to give technical clarification on CDI comparison as I'm still a student and learning everyday.

The ride quality is good, more revs, engine responds much better to the throttle engage.

I hope others would be able to share their knowledge and their experience.

Nice. One question, while changing from stock CDI to RDD CDI did you perform any other mods on the bike, like porting, change of spark plug, change of carb etc etc.

Was there any increase in top end or FE ?

Please remember even the slightest modification & reply back.

                    • @Karthik - Pal, looks like you've concern on RDD CDI & this going way too offtopic discussing the performance here. If you've questions/concerns on CDI performance, req opening a new thread to track the same as this is to discuss on spare parts.

                        Dear Sir/Mam,
I need the Pilot lamp that has the Neutral, Highbeam and Indicator light. It goes between the Speedometer and Tachometer. No dealer seems to have this and Yamaha India has not gotten back to me with any sort of reply.

Yup parts are going to be a big issue very soon with RX owners. Its a pity that Yamaha India is treating its customers in such a way.
