Oops!Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostMy idea is that since I had already done Leh - Karu-Tanste-Pangong once so while coming back I don't need to stop in that stretch for photography breaks and also my speeds will be much better as I will have a fare idea as what to expect when. I just want to keep all my options open.
I was unaware of that you had done Leh before, shorry

No I haven't. What I meant is that since I had already done Pangong Tso by that time so would be aware what to expect from that route.Originally posted by spiderweb View PostOops!

Hi friends, in the thread i have heard about the marsimkla pass, as far as i know it is the actual highest pass in India, just because a proper road is not there khardungla is considered as the highest motorable road in the world.
i just wanted to know can we do marsimkla pass in our mahindra scopio, i guess it is on the way to Pangong Tso lake.
i am asking this because i have heard it is really tough to reach the topLife is a road, so keep driving as long as roads are there.

It is the highest Non motorable road u just have dirt tracks its even higher than Khardung la
The way is From lukung Village which comes before pangong tso.
From lukung village take a left head towards Phobrang where one needs to check into the itbp post to sub,mit the permits from Phobrang its 22 Km to Marsmik la
Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory.

@Rals: I don't see any sense in going to Manali via Shimla. You either go to Leh via Spiti (Kaza et al), after visiting Chandratal or you take the Delhi - Manali route and go directly to Ladakh/ Leh, and come back to Delhi via Spiti!:)

@Rals.rao- I don't see it happening in 20 days. You need a minimum of 23days if you stick to all the places that you mentioned above.
