      Hi Guys,

      Need your valuable suggestions.
My current ride is Yamaha R15v2. Both tires have gone bald.

I would like to stick to the stock tires only.

      Stock tyres are :

      Front: MRF Nylogrip Zapper-fy1 90/80-17m/c
      Rear: MRF Rev Z-s 130/70 R17

Now I enquired at authorised MRF sellers in bangalore, but half of them do not have it in stock and those who have it in stock are asking for whatever prices they want to.
I came to know that the rear tyre cost is around 2400 and front tyre is around 1600 approx (Excl VAT,arnd a week back). But some are qouting as high as 4k for the rear one alone.
Please help me if you know any stores personally who can hook me up with these tires at the right cost.

      Thanks
      Adhiraj

Justdial.com and start dialling dealers. Negotiate and take the best quoted one. Its easier than it looks.

There arent much options when it comes to 18" RIMS. What is the stock size? 110/90-18 or 120/90-18?? Tube Type tyres have a little more options than the Tubeless Tyres.. disadvantage of 18" wheels.

What size are you looking to upsize it to?

Guys, I am planning to change the euroslips on my 200NS. I have done 5.5k kms on them.
I could not take my bike on trips due to these shoddy tires during these beautiful monsoons.
We have some long weekends in this month and I don't want to miss the fun.

I have zeroed in on PSDs or Michelin Pilot Street.
              I got a few questions,

              1. Where can I get them in Mysore? What's the damage to the pocket?

              2. Can I exchange my 5.5k old tires for some discount?

              3. Should I stick to the stock size or can I go for diff. ones

              In my case:

              Rear:
              Stock: 130/70 R17
              What about :140/70 R17 ?

              Front:
              Stock: 100/80 R17
              What about: 110/70 R17?

What is the significant change if I opt for the other size, is it ok?

              TIA

                1. No idea as I'm not from Mysore.
                2. Yeah, you can get some discount exchanging these tyres if tgey are still usable.
                3. Stick to stocksize, Any upsize/downsize affects gearong of bike.

                My Suggestion :
Michellin Pilot sporty 100/90 17 at front.
Ceat Vertigo Rage 130/80 17 at rear.
I'm using this setup on my Pulsar 220 and My friend is using the same on his 200NS and believe me, it's just awesome even in wet.

The Ralcos are back home after 3000+kms of torture in ladakh and I must say that these tyres are above excellent for the price. The offroad grip is fantastic and on road grip is so good that the nut on my left footrest of scraped off completely.

Overall a rating of 9/10 (for the price) and this comes from a user who has ridden everything from TVS Srichakra to Metzys to Diablo corsas.

If you are a adventure tourer, You just cant go wrong with these tyres. Hell! I was able to scrape footrest on wet roads using tyres that cost mere 4200bux a pair!

^^ 4200 bucks a pair! This is indeed pleasing; 'guess there isn't a profile for FZs (not the FZ1, off course).

I have planned to change my Dazzler front tyre... Please suggest me a good replacement:

Stock Size: 80/100 17 Inch (Zapper FQ)

Should I go for Zapper FS or front tryes of R15. Zapper FS is same as stock size but R15's differ

                              Version 1: 80/90 17
                              Version 2: 90/80 17

Heard R15 tyres are good but am confused because of the different sizes.. Please suggest

always go with stock size....you can change the width but no height....if you change the height then speedo error will occur.

bet, i think increasing the front tyre size is not advisable...you can increase rear, but not front AFAIK.

maybe some guys here can throw some lights...!!
