Engine Oils

Even though I've read lots of good reviews about Motul 300v, I didn't find it that good neither in my unicorn(300v10w40) nor in my friends FAZER(15w50).
ELF synthetic oil is performing very well in my friends Fazer, he is using second bottle and the engine feels really smooth. By the way do you find any overheating problem in Fazer?

Fazer and FZ series is designed with thin walls and does heat up real fast and also cools down faster...

What grade should i use for my cbr 250r now guys in manual 10w30 is recommended now that it's summer should i switch to 20w40 ? plz advice thx

Me too . I just mentioned what's written in the current owner's manual since the OP wanted to know the "recommended oil" .

The recommended is 20w40, Its been running 15w50 SS since the last 12K...And runs good with it

And the motul 300v you used was same 15w50 grade too ? What's the problem you had with the recommended 20w40 grade oils ?

In minerals you can use any good 20w40 in summer, since it gets pretty hot in BD (i live nearby) . If you want synthetic try Honda Throttle FS 10w30 .

Yes 300v is 15w50. I have never tried a 20w40... Yamalube has a SS variant in 15w50

300v can also be 10w40 , which is why I asked you that . Anyway , try out a 20w40 oil once, maybe the yamalube or motul .. since it's the yamaha recommended oil for your bike . 20w40 behaves quite differently than either a 15w50 or 10w40 or even a 20w50 , and there is no good reason here for you to move to another grade than recommended .

No Andrei , Bajaj India only speaks about JASO 20w50 mineral motorcycle oil in the owner's manual for pulsar135LS .. and is silent about use of synthetic oils . Which means you can try it out at your own peril . Keep as close as possible to the recommended grade of oil and check the oil level on dipstick weekly and avoid oils made for car engines and you should be fine .

Engine Oil

I have a R15 V 1.0. The bike has ran somewhere close to 8.5k mark is 3 years. lately, my bike has become rough ans the engine oil is on the verge of being changed. I wish to change to fully synthetic engine oil. Rob, (an xbhpian) suggested me to go for semi synthetic oil first, and then go for fully synthetic in the next change. Previously the bike was serviced at a Yamaha SVC. I have no clue which oil they put in the bike.

Can some gurus let me know which is the best engine oil for my bike. I just want my bike running smooth.

One more problem is my bikes headlamps at night are insufficient. Any bulb change can help me?

Valvoline premium 4T synthetic blend 20w50 is appreciated by many pulsar riders . So is the Motul 5100 15w50 semi-synthetic . Until about 10k kms on odo, try to run on a non-synthetic(mineral) oil like Motul 3000 4T plus 15w50 or Gulf/Elf/Castrol/Veedol 20w50 motorcycle(JASO) oils .

Ya sure i'll update the performance of Shell AX7. Next time i'll buy Honda Throttle FS10w30.I think Motul is bit costly one.

hello i dont know if this oil is available their in india this is the ELF MOTO SPORT4 CAMPIONE this 100% PAO based Synthetic oil 10w60 im just asking for feedback if being used in Pulsar 135ls any pros and cons

here in philippines their are good feedback for this oil used in other motorcycle like underbones and scooters just want feedback if its available their in india and been used to bajaj motorcycle thanks!!!!
