I Googled for cross helmet website and found this

CROSS Helmet

The logo in the website homepage looks genuine there are shops addresses and the contact us page gives one address in pune and Jaipur respectively. Other than that The website is total junk and seriously looks like someone hacked defaced the website. there is total nonsense information in almost all pages and helmet prices looks insanely exorbitant.

the helmets are authentic. I myself have checked them. As per their customer service, they have delivered loads of helmets and other rider accessories to different people in xbhp and around. Just some days back, a member bought a sparx helmet from the store and was happy with it. maybe around 3 or 4 pages back.

Well, I have been to their store and they have a really awesome store, a little heavy on pocket but no compromise on quality ... just call them up and discuss with vicky, he will provide you all valuable information

and regarding the price, importing the helmets does add the cost factor so if you compare the US price to the store price, you will see some difference, if you can helmet from US , nothing like it

The site is not hacked. This kind of gibberish is used by website developers as fillers before the actual content is filled in, to account for the space required.

However, I can't seem to find any reference to Cross Helmets internationally anywhere, so I seriously doubt their antecedents. Even the images used on the site are helmets from other brands. IMHO this is an Indian brand and the fact that even after a few years in the market they don't have a legitimate web presence makes me seriously jittery.

If I were in the market for a helmet of this budget, I would stick to at least a known player like LS2 - at least the manufacturer and brand is not unknown.

Seems like I have to wait a little bit more to get my hands on one of them. There's some shipping issues to Kerala at the moment. Either I have to ship to some friend/relative in TN or Karnataka or I will have to get myself if I visit Bangalore or Chennai.
Even though I measured using a tape and found out L is the size for me, I am not 100% confident for ordering without a trial...

the site of cross helmets is hacked,i had visited their website few months ago ,this is not their website,the helmets listed are not of cross,they are of agv and some other brands,
cross helmets are value for money when it comes in comparison to vega studds,in that much price bracket they are a steal,not all of us can afford a sol helmet which costs double of ls2 and cross,sol helmets are true premium range helmets,cross ls2 are for customers who want stylish comfort at a lesser premium price,cross ls2 can be labelled as skoda and sol sparx and others can be labelled as mercs ,that doesnt mean cross and ls2 are cheap quality,in 5 years of the launch of cross helmets i haven`t heard a single case where a rider wearing a cross helmets has died in a road accident,so definitely their quality can be trusted,i`m using a cross helmet since 2 years and recently shifted to a ls2,sol being too expensive didnt buy it.

My friend - I'm sorry if my post offended you in any way - that was surely not my intention - I merely expressed my concern about the origin of the brand, that's all. If I was buying a product for my safety, shouldn't I at least get to know who made it and what safety standards it meets? That's all I was asking.

If you read my post, you will see that I said exactly what you said about the site (except the part about it being hacked - which if you say it is - I accept) and also you have upgraded to an LS2, which is what I suggested too!

Dude . Seriously I have not read this much detailed news (brand of the helmet) about any road accident atleast in India.

Surprised! Hmmm... these kind of replies are lesson for us from the matured man.
And yes the CROSS website is malfunctioning, may be it is hacked.

Cross is a good brand, no doubt but a bit bulky in size and weight. I would rather prefer a LS2 which is superb and comfy.

BTW i had a cross before, the phoenix behind and chequered flag one which has scoops over the head. That one literally cracked wen it fell over the stairs, that kinda gave me a different feeling about its safety unless i had a nasty fall near the canal road on a left hander...Could see the visor being scratched on the surface of the road... couldnt have survived if that cross helmet wasnt there...Face torn types!!!

I am using a CROSS helmet for past 4 years and 50K KMs. Did not undergo any major fall but it feels sturdy and it is very heavy. I have no complaints on neck pain though (could be because of its aerodynamic design).
