Yea I am in a lookout for a helmet for myself too... My Daijya is feeling really heavy now... Especially on long rides... Maybe I am getting oldOriginally posted by rkakkar View PostSaurabh's airoh is very light! Everything seems light as compared to my Daijya
. Check with him for the price.
... But that can wait...
Thanks... I will check that link...Originally posted by aargee View PostI got a SOL 48S (DOT approved; not sticker, but laminated) a month ago & I'm very happy with it; costed about 3.6K; worth every penny; I'm using it for a daily use & say I've clocked nearly 1000 Kms; my previous ones were Vega & Studds & SOL is atleast a century ahead of fit & finish. It also helps in reducing the noise to a considerable extend & head remains stable even at speeds over 140, may be due to snug fit, but still worth a mention on those points. In one word, pure VFM. There is no lifespan for a helmet... I have been using my Daijya for nearly 4 years now... You change the inner liners when they wear out... Incase of non removable liners you change the helmet... But incase you have had a fall, you throw the helmet into the dustbin immediately... I hope that the last situation never arises...Originally posted by Dreamwalker987 View Postwhat is an average life of helmet and after how many day do i need to change my helmet??? i am using Studds ninja 3g, 2 years old i guess and all the inner padding and all stuffs are like "kaise tho chal raha hai" with fevi quick ...i don't ride much these days...

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Lol, nope. The STUDD's model would'nt fit my head. This is from a manufacturer named SLICK, scratched off all name stickers and cleaned the residue with alcohol, and it was shining and looked similar to those expensive type of helmets you see in hollywood movies.Originally posted by nin View PostSTUDDS it is..
My previous helmet was a motocross from Vega which got stolen, so had to get this.
This is how it originally looked, (Except Mine was Black.)

Guys, can anyone suggest me a good helmet with the following needs:
1. Should NOT BE NOISY at high speeds... This comes from an unsatisfied Vega Boolean (Modular) owner! Even Studds Ninja is the same noisy story. Did many trips but the helmet sucks when it comes to noise... I'm deafened from that "whoosh"ing sound.
2. Safety should be a priority, strong shell wanted. DOT/ ECE will do.
3. Should have a scratch resistant clear non-tinted visor, so that blaring headlights don't compromise my vision of the road.
4. Modular helmet is preferred. Full face will also do... BUT, No Half face compromise.
Yes, it can be sweaty, heavy, un-attractive, un-ventilated or whatever but should be less noisy & good for high speed touring needs.
A Foreign made brand is probably the only choice I think. Budget is around 3000-5000 and can be extended slightly, if the product is good enough. Been hearing a lot about SOL helmets and their quality around the net, but I really don't know about its noise at high speeds...
And secondly, suggest any Safe, locally made full/ modular helmet which is noisy and has a clear scratch resistant visor, for commuting. How does Ozone Graphic perform when it comes to noise?---

bro, that's what everyone is looking for..less noisy, light weight, high on safety and priced below 5k
i think LS@ supra or celtic is a good option.
