Yea I am in a lookout for a helmet for myself too... My Daijya is feeling really heavy now... Especially on long rides... Maybe I am getting old ... But that can wait...

It also helps in reducing the noise to a considerable extend & head remains stable even at speeds over 140, may be due to snug fit, but still worth a mention on those points. In one word, pure VFM. There is no lifespan for a helmet... I have been using my Daijya for nearly 4 years now... You change the inner liners when they wear out... Incase of non removable liners you change the helmet... But incase you have had a fall, you throw the helmet into the dustbin immediately... I hope that the last situation never arises...

Lol, nope. The STUDD's model would'nt fit my head. This is from a manufacturer named SLICK, scratched off all name stickers and cleaned the residue with alcohol, and it was shining and looked similar to those expensive type of helmets you see in hollywood movies. My previous helmet was a motocross from Vega which got stolen, so had to get this.

This is how it originally looked, (Except Mine was Black.)

                        • Guys, can anyone suggest me a good helmet with the following needs:

                          1. Should NOT BE NOISY at high speeds... This comes from an unsatisfied Vega Boolean (Modular) owner! Even Studds Ninja is the same noisy story. Did many trips but the helmet sucks when it comes to noise... I'm deafened from that "whoosh"ing sound.

                          2. Safety should be a priority, strong shell wanted. DOT/ ECE will do.

                          3. Should have a scratch resistant clear non-tinted visor, so that blaring headlights don't compromise my vision of the road.

                          4. Modular helmet is preferred. Full face will also do... BUT, No Half face compromise.

Yes, it can be sweaty, heavy, un-attractive, un-ventilated or whatever but should be less noisy & good for high speed touring needs.

A Foreign made brand is probably the only choice I think. Budget is around 3000-5000 and can be extended slightly, if the product is good enough. Been hearing a lot about SOL helmets and their quality around the net, but I really don't know about its noise at high speeds...

And secondly, suggest any Safe, locally made full/ modular helmet which is noisy and has a clear scratch resistant visor, for commuting. How does Ozone Graphic perform when it comes to noise?

if you have someone coming from US,getting a sparx helmet in close out deals is the best thing or

you could try ls2(i upgraded from boolean to ls2 and its very less noisy and stable when compared to boolean)

                              or

SOL helmets as suggested my many members here, hope this helps
R.I.P vinu s v,you will never be forgotten

bro, that's what everyone is looking for..less noisy, light weight, high on safety and priced below 5k
i think LS@ supra or celtic is a good option.
