NUVO and RJays are all made in the same factory using the same moulds, now I dunno how many of them know this.

Strange as it seems, most helmet company brands don't manufacture anything - they go to a "contract manufacturer" who will label the helmets any brand they want as long as they place order quantities. Here is an interesting link - Jiangmen Pengcheng HELMETS LTD. ???????????

This company, MHR produces LS2 and Nuvo and incidentally, this company also manufactures Rjays and Sparx .

I dont know whether it is appropriate for this query in this thread but nevertheless i need to ask. Have any of you guys experienced itching after 10mins of helmet use?? this happens to me everytime! may be because of dandruff etc. but is there any workaround to this?? How do guys wear helmets on long tour's in hot sweaty conditions without the head itching??

This is a matter of getting used to. Of course shorter hair and hygiene would help too!!

I am comparing the same price range KBC vs SparX only.

I hope that you are aware that KBC and Sparx have the same owners! Sparx was actually designed to be the lower range of KBC.

Itching occurs due to a lot of factors. First off, dandruff causes itchiness when sweat cannot vaporize and stays as liquid form in your scalp and causes even more itchiness when the helmet which doesn't have good air circulation inside it to let the stale air out.

Simple thing is to wear a balaclava, which absorbs most of the sweat and your helmet will thank you for that.

Exactly, Sunny. You remember I saying exactly the same when I was supposed to leave our KL trip lately, when you compared my breath deflector to Aravinth's deflector. Yes they are the same ones that manufacture most of the helmets we know.

You need not always post your photos here mate. If you can't upload a photo, try resizing it through online softwares, you have lot of it. Else just post a name of your helmet and post a detailed experience of your experience with it. That will be great.

Just upload it any image hosting sites first (photobucket/flickr etc) and get the img code or bb code and paste it here. The full size pic will be displayed here.

the only question i have is.......the model is LS2 phobia, and it has vents on the back of helmet, is this good for the leh trip??? wouldn't the cold winds enter though the holes and would it protect against the rains as well..........let me know guys...thank you...

One of my friend had the same helmet with which he did for Leh trip, the same one LS2 Phobia Dragon, grey one. Air vents doesn't have to do anything with rain coming in or anything of that sort, it's clearly inside the helmet and it's prime focus is to vent the heated air inside your head. So don't worry, no water leak, no cold winds. Your head will stay as it is.
