lol... Another kbc was there in another shop which has printed dot certification (inbuilt with the graphics) and had a strap lock which has to be tied with two rings. Not the usual quick release stuff... Padding was quite good... Asking price 4.8k... What about that?.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThis Tail Is Japani Tail (spell as you like)

Blackthorn has already pointed out that the authorised distributor for KBC in India is PRS. If the dealer you saw the helmet is an authorised reseller for PRS and he's ready to give you a proper tax invoice with warranty, go ahead!Originally posted by Rahulbarik View Postlol... so basically its a warranty thing right...? Does kbc have warranty? I am more concerned about the price....coz i still cant believe that kbc costs 4.8k if it really is genuine... Actually i am in love with the graphics and the helmet... And what are the things to check to verify if it is a genuine kbc...?Originally posted by Sunnyside_up! You're missing the point. If the helmet comes from an authorised reseller with warranty it must be genuine, right?
so check these things and reassure yourself!

You're absolutely right. And by grams, I meant, those local Vega helmets, sir, branded ones aside. I got the Vega Formula HP, it weighed 800 to 900 grams something, spent about 750 bucks on it, white colored one. That being said, my AIROH GP 500 weighs close to 1100 grams, fully loadedOriginally posted by Sunnyside_up! View Post
Actually the acceptable weight range in certified helmets is between 1200 gms to about 1800 gms, so 1500 gms is considered the median. Many modular helmets weigh more than this too. I am not aware of any certified helmet breaching the 1000 gms lower limit.

Sunny summed it up well. If you get it from an authorized reseller, why keep pondering about the genuinity. For all your queries they are just one phone call or an email awayOriginally posted by Sunnyside_up! View PostBuddy,

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Guys, my LS2 phobia Tinted visor has become almost unuseable, many scratches and tinted part has peeled off, some due to small stones hitting visor from the vehicles(trucks buses) and stuff like that, so now its tough to ride in sunny conditions with the visor down.
I'm so searching for a substitute clear visor, so it can aid me even for night riding. I wanted to know whats the cost of the LS2 clear visor(non air pump version) .Would be great is someone help me out with that.
Cheers

Hi Praj, in Marathalli, I asked at one shop, he is selling LS2 @ 3000/- so you got a good deal. I too think VAT (14.5%) is not included. Personally if your helmet looks good and new I think its good to go without bill since even if you take the bill they could say that you met with some accident and its a harassment replacing it. Would you please post the pic of the glove you bought and some review on it like how comfy is it, behavior in rains/sunny climate, washable, sweat smell etc.

the posts in this thread helped me a lot
thanks guys for providing me info about the store address and the lid
i loved the ls2 when i first wore it
i came to know how important a good helmet was only after reading posts here in this thread previous i had a different thought that why should anyone spend so much money on a helmet like more than thousand bucks.
he told the same thing posted by others that cross,ls2,sparx,sol are manufactured in the same place ie in chaina
i argued that vega is manufacturing ls2 in different name as many guys said here but he said no anyways i stopped arguing and balaji helmets guys doesnt know about xbhp.
i also bought a sweet pair of gloves for 700rs from cross,
i love the gloves ill post he pics of the gloves in the evening
they didnt give me a bill
is it important to have bill
i should have taken it is it
thanks b7ackthorn for quick response and padfootmoonWhats there in a signature?

Don't think that's a good advice there mate. Keeping the bill is a marked evidence stating that you have purchased from a particular shop or person, which can be used to get a replacement if there's some problems associated with the product, it's your right to get a replacement, shop keeps always do some mumbo jumbo things to avoid giving a replacement.
All defect may not show itself when new and shiny, some surface only after using a bit because of the cheap quality materials used(if any) and that's when you'll need to get a replacement. Especially when you spend big bucks for a life saving object.

I think it was said that PRS are the only authorized dealers for KBC, so i guess getting from them is the only way to be assured of authenticity.

Last I checked with Chopra at Kaolbagh, he said Rs 450.00 for clear visor of LS2. But he is still waiting for the shipment.Originally posted by krish2778 View PostGuys, my LS2 phobia Tinted visor has become almost unuseable, many scratches and tinted part has peeled off, some due to small stones hitting visor from the vehicles(trucks buses) and stuff like that, so now its tough to ride in sunny conditions with the visor down.

That guy once said:- What is the need of clear visor? I have sold all the LS2 without clear visor. I said thanks and left the shop decided not to buy LS2.Originally posted by Kunwar.g View PostLast I checked with Chopra at Kaolbagh, he said Rs 450.00 for clear visor of LS2. I can't understand:- One is willing to pay Rs3000, but not vat of 12.5% . Ironical indeed. Save and buy with bill.

Need a bit of help from fellow bikers. I just booked duke(midnite black color) 4 days back now i'm in search of a lid.
Basically i wear specs so i find it very inconvenient to own a full face helmet. I'm in search of a modular helmet of good quality and make. Tried Vega boolean but was not that convinced.
Please recommend something. My budget would be in and around 4k. Can stretch a bit if I like something. I stay in mumbai so let me know which shops are better in providing good helmets.

Why don't you try Studds Ninja or the Ninja Downtown Full Face plus flip up, two in one. Full face for that rainy day, plus flip up as per your convenience. Costs some 1800 bucks I guess.Originally posted by hunterjack View PostNeed a bit of help from fellow bikers. I just booked duke(midnite black color) 4 days back now i'm in search of a lid.
