    Thanks Bro !
Cleaning with a soft cloth before & After ride is all I can do, hoping to atleast have it for 6-7 months.

    @vickks
    Yea. Ditto !
    WoW !
1 year & no problem is what I was expecting.
Haha, proof testing is what really matter , isn't it so mate ??
I haven't handeled or maintained the visor so nicely to be honest, did the cleaning and stuff, but not always with smooth clean cloth, then the small stones pelted on the visor from vehciles in front in monsoon caused a lot of scratches and dots on the visor, so ion a nutshell mine was not properly maintained, but the rest of the helmet is intact, not even a scratch, the new look glow is still there. So quality wise , it's pretty much no tension about.

Never understood about this weight thingy, when i used the Ninja Studds for 2 years, never hurt my neck, got the LS2 and now while using the ninja i get pain in my neck, like the ninja stidds is more heavier, :-P..maybe because with the ninja , i use it mostly as a half face helmet and the drag can be the issue..!! lol..

Yea, let me try to explain it. Have you ever wondered, using a modular helmet, suddenty you flip up and all of a sudden, your head feels heavy and dangly no matter how much you control it, that's got to to do with wind resistance and the way in which a helmet flips up too is a prime factor as it tends to fall back pulling the head backwards. Faced with Ninja and my another helmet. If it it the case with us, women definitely are gonna gripe about it sooner or later.

Anyday I would prefer a full face for my girl, if the need be so. Never a compromise.

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

have been using this helmet (Vega Shadow) for past one and a half years, but now I am thinking of replacing the visor (it has got enough of scratches over it), can I ask for some suggestions here for a shop/online store ?? Google-ing did not helpful

Furthermore, I have a doubt, is it possible to have a scratch protection (like lamination or something) for its visor as I have observed that the chrome finish is very much prone to scratch ??

        Thanks

Another friend has checked almost all shops but even he cant get shadow's visor. Getting it laminated would be of no use , e.g : if the film is thick, it will hamper the visibility, if the film is thin, it wont save from scratches. The best is while buying helmet get spare visors

I guess almost all the good brands like Daijya, Nuvo, Airoh, etc etc comes as scratch resistant, but again its resistant not 'proof'

xpranav, there have been many queries like guys asking is it possible to go for a sun control film inside a helmet visor and lamination etc. It'd be insane to do so, coupled with no anti-reflective properties whatsoever (which makes the lami/suncomtrol basically 90% useless) and these so called "stickers and lamination" won't do any good, rather than to hamper your vision just when you're kinda tired and when you needed the vision most, not to mention the scratches it already has, it's a disaster waiting to happen, when you least expect.

One thought would be to visit Vega distributors/other helmets shops themselves, sometimes even the store you just diss away thinking it might not be stocking so and so, might just be the one you've been searching for. I always never leave a single helmet shop unattended, if I go for shopping that is, even if it is road side

                Cheers!

                • HI, First post on the site. Bought the Sol SL68s II Metal Man from spartanprogear.com. Costed me Rs 5050 with shipping. Here are some pics. I also compared it with my Vega Trojan. Really nice feel with the helmet. Haven't gone for a ride yet but feels super silent and comfy.

The helmet in question is a budget version of the GP500 version. The Pit One is a much cheaper model in the Airoh range. Interesting though is this helmet made in Indonesia, which retails for about RM250 ( about INR4300) in Malaysia.

Partly true - but when the helmets are priced at less than 50% of the retail prices abroad, it raises a lot of interesting questions, doesn't it? Cheaper is welcome. Ridiculously cheaper always makes my alarm bells ring.

                          Dear Sir,

I found a contact e-mail address at their website (World Class Helmets Made in India) and dropped a query asking about some dealer in Delhi or any online purchase possible to avail the visor for my Vega Shadow and it was replied in time (pic enclosed), but it served no purpose. I have searched in a few shops and will try others as much as I can. I think buying a helmet from such manufacturers is of no use as they cannot help the customers with after-sales replacements .

Nothing such as ignorant, Monk. Fact is there is two helmets out there, one is the race spec GP500, which costs some EUR 600 and costs 40 to 45k here in India. The PIT ONE XR is A little cheaper one, with just the livery of ANDREA IANNONE.

These helmets, at least the one I wear are genuine Made in Italy stuff. Of course as demand perks up, you might some some fakes flooding in. But in India, Bachoo Motors are the only guy directly importing these stuffs and one more dealer, forgot his name.

There is this exchange denomination you have to take into account. $60 LS2 costs 3k and EUR 87 costs close to 7k. It's these exchange rate where we get screwed up. It's best to be abroad either to buy a high-end motorcycle or motorcycle accessories or riding gear.

Mate, chuck your Vega. There are lots of good helmets out there, in the 3k range, with approved protection. Save some money and get the best out there. If you need any help don't hesitate to ask.

These helmets, at least the one I wear are genuine Made in Italy stuff. Of course as demand perks up, you might some some fakes flooding in. But in India, Bachoo Motors are the only guy directly importing these stuffs and one more dealer, forgot his name.

Talk about close copies! . \Here's the original!

Interesting, so this is made for Airoh in Indonesia. Does that mean that their will be a compromise in quality?
