I see that a lot of people are opting of SOL and it seems to be of good quality, not sure if I can get it locally here in Hyderabad, any shop that stock SOL in Hyderabad?

People who have bought SOL on-line, how was the experience and did you have any issues with the size?

Recently visited Adventureontherocks.com, but seems like they are robbing people in daylight, I was quoted 4200 for an LS2, when I can see that ebay has them for 3500 or less. Plus the helmets in the store did not have any ECE sticker or any other certification and the text on the visor was all in Chinese. Really no t sure if they are the Original LS2s.

    Would appreciate any help!

About the ECE sticker: I think you will get better replies from seniors.

About the cost: you have to specify which model you saw in the store and which model you saw in ebay. As they have different ranges of products the costs vary too. I have heard that adventureontherocks sells genuine stuff only. You cannot say the same about the stuff sold on ebay. You may try SPG or PlanetDSG too. SPG will have more affordable helmets than PlanetDSG, I believe.

Again, from the discussion going on in this forum for some time I infer that you may want to go for a helmet with ISI marking on it. That is if you live someplace where Police will be checking for the 'quality' seal on helmets.
ISI marking should not be a problem, I mean I have not seen too many cops in Hyderabad looking for these markings. Don't remember the models that I saw in adventureontherocks.

Thanks for posting this. Great to know all the shops and what they stock. Have been to Biking Terminal in Somajiguda, that's where I got my Vega which was stolen recently, and that is why am looking for a replacement.

Good to know that Sparx is available in Hyderabad, will definitely be better if I can check them out in person before making a purchase since SOL is only available online as of now for the Hyderabad folks. Will visit Street Flames as soon as possible.

I am not too sure what effectiveness would you deduce from a pic but I will still post it soon..
Regarding adjusting the peak, refer the below pick, this screw is right on the top.. you'll notice that U shaped gap (encircled in red color) . Loosen this screw and the other two on either sides of the peak and the peak can be moved backward/upwards so much more compared to the current position..

The Ultimate White/Red (top left) and Black/ Orange ( second row, second from right), are being market tested now. If the graphic proves popular, it will be introduced. All solids are available.

Thanks Bro. I bought it from Karol Bagh, he quoted me 4500 and after hard bargain got it for 4200. Actually I myself heard of this brand first time and after googling it find that its a UK based small brand with very reasonable pricing. Can't comment on availability in India as I didn't consider it while buying. And as far as comparison between LS2 and TUZO goes, I feel its far better than LS2. The fit is very snug and have a D-ring fastening mechanism whereas LS2 was a loose helmet from day-1. The biggest point to move away from LS2 was, I wasn't sure about its quality. There was a external sticker mentioning ECE crash ratings which was not assuring at all, where as TUZO got certification logo in the paint itself.

                          Helmet world really?
Last time I checked there (2 months ago).. they quoted higher prices for LS2 than AOTR.

SOL i am doubtful but you can try...
                          I can vouch for SOL.
Bought an SF1 recently from Bangalore and I drove out of the store straight to Hyderabad .. 600kms of testing.. 140kmph.. No noise... no crosswind slap.
It's not a beautiful looking oval like SL68s, infact round and ugly and plain white is uglier... but its a really good lid.

However, I am not so fond of the email support that the SOL dealer gives... despite giving them a proper feedback on what's wrong during my previous purchases... the arrogance of email support continues and they don't value a customer who loves their products. (I just didn't want to keep bother Sunny into it every-time it happens.. decided not to talk to their email support like EVER)

It's only because of the quality of stuff, I still bought it (or probably because I'm mature enough not to let someone's arrogance cloud my decision of buying a good product)
Trust me, Someday soon, it will start to pinch them back in the name of worse customer support. Just don't realise it yet.

If I find time, I'll put up a vlog reviewing the SF1. (youtube.com/HeartBrokenBiker)

You cannot make out whether ISI marking is real or fake... and same case with DOT or SNELL or ECE. Infact, fake markings could look more polished than the real ones.
But what you can do, as an experienced rider, is to make out by trying and feeling the helmet whether it really is close to any standard.

Another way is to buy from a trusted dealer/reseller of imported lids.

About, the road side ISI marked.. thats a joke anyway... can break those lids with elbow.
The deal is as simple as any product... you will need to apply more sense and intelligence to find out which one is real.

About why they dont get re-certified, is probably because
                          1. the ratio of people buying DOT lids to ISI local lids is very low... hence the recert isnt a major push.. if they market grows huge.. then they'd probably be forced to do a recert.
                          2. same with imported jackets, armors... or niche electronics? We just buy them trusting outside certs to be more saner/less corrupt than ours is. I guess.

Hate to burst your bubble - but what you got is actually a helmet made by the same manufacturer as LS2. MHR helmets manufactures LS2, NUVO, Rjays, Daijya and Cross too, among others. That's why the exact same graphics have made an appearance in Rjays and Nuvo in the past. You can verify the manufacturer from the embossed MHR lettering on the side of your visor.

However, fret not - the fact that the helmet is not mass sold yet in India, probably means that this was from a batch that was meant for the EU, that's why it got the painted certification and you feel it superior to your previous helmet, so enjoy your purchase!

Good deal, I would say!! Going by the looks, I can say that unlike the usual LS2 it is a snug fit, the finish is smooth and flawless and of course the ECE labelling looks genuine. I would categorize LS2 FF350 as the entry level lid amongst all the ones this thread's been discussing (non-ISI ). Prices of these helmets will remain uncertain as long as it is not sold & marketed by an registered importer - Some will get lucky & save upto 500 INR while others just pay what they are quoted. AFAIK, I have not seen TUZO in Bangalore till now, even though there is a good number of standard helmet retailers here.
