Interesting, what's the model number on your LS2 helmet? I guess it begins with FF for FullFace.

Hello brother sorry for the late reply I was making laddos with my mother then I went to study:P

Now, buying a genuine ls2 can be quite an ordeal.
So only trust an online shop with buying an ls2.
To different an ls2 fake vs original
Original ls2 have clear cloated stickers and graphics so you cant rip them off, fakes are sometimes not clear coated
Old ls2 genuine stock wont have isi branding only dot certified.
Also they will peovode a warranty card with it that will have a hologram.
But I wouldn't trust these methods.
So always trust a reputed online shop with buying ls2 helmets.

Dada thanks for the info, as you have mentioned that detecting ls2 vs fake is difficult and should be purchase only through online shops, that is why i was keen to know how to differentiate an original ls2 and fake one, here in delhi we have got a very big two wheeler market, i think prateek should know about this market as he is from NCR region, you can get anything related to 2wheelers in this market like spares , accessories, old motorcycles, and other related items, from fake to original, there are no of shops who sells all kinds of helmets from Indian to imported ones, these people are so sharp in selling fake product with such authenticity that if you are not properly aware of the product you are buying then these shopkeepers will sell you fake product, and if you inquire too much of that product these people gets irritated(that's the sign of them selling fake product), so you have given very important information of buying these products only through online stores.

Thanks prateek for your info, yes we can meet someday because you are from ncr region and iam in delhi, so we are closest, did you got your visor which you were looking for.

Last few pages are only full of clutter. Regarding fake LS2s, a keen eye with prior experience with LS2 helmets will know.

Also, don't trust online sellers at eBay, snapdeal etc for helmets at least. (I'm not against eCommerce, but I have an exception for riding gear!)
For the same price, you have TIH/THH/MT as options. No hassles there for fakes!

Also, please avoid helmets with inflatable pads on the inside. They're not replaceable in case of damage and very soon the novelty wears off as well.

Buy riding gear from a reputed shop along with another Xbhpian (if you're not sure) and try out the gear before buying. (solid reason why I avoid online purchases for gear)
              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

                  Here you go :

An article from business-standard. Also many other newspapers/websites carried this info.

"Fastrack has outsourced manufacturing to Italy's AGV SpA's India arm Cyber AGV that makes helmets for Harley Davidson, Royal Enfield and Vespa, too. Fastrack, however holds control over design and marketing and says investments have been "fairly insignificant".

@SparKot : Honestly, I dont even remember my helmet's model number. Regarding your helmet, I wont judge by just looking at the pics but if you check LS2's website, you would find the same graphics but not the same design of the helmet (design as in vent placement etc).

@Divyanshp150 : Not every online seller has original, always check the websites of respective helmet and find for authorized dealer's contact in your city/country.

@kusmaker : No . havent got the visor yet and as its totally different and none of the available visors (even of different helmets) fits my Helmet. I will change my helmet before/after my Leh ride. 3 years is enough for a helmet.

@Deathmate.Zed : I seriously doubt that Fasttrack would inherit any of AGV's qualities in its helmet. They just have 2 helmets (Full Face) in their entire catalogue. At the same price there are models available with removable cheek pads. And in this pic just look at the chin protection, nothing but just a curved plastic. Then again, to each his own. I would personally save money and invest in better SHARP certified helmets.

as far as possible avoid online sellers, buy from authorised dealers only, and if you cant go to an authorised shop then the onus lies on you, to identify the original/fake.

fake will have either of these or all-

                      1) check all the labels, those on strap & inside padding. if you find something written in chinese. it is fake.

                      2) if it is stickered as ISI certified, it is fake.

Both are good, select the one based on the color you like if you have indeed narrowed down your choices to these two.
Still I would strongly advice to hike the budget and get a better helmet.

                              OT:

I feel the govt should pass a rule that 8-10% of the 2 wheeler's ex showroom price (can be differentiated segment wise) will be charged as helmet tax or rupees 4000 whichever is lesser. At least it might prompt people to get better helmets (but doesn't guarantee they'll wear it).
