Re: Helmets
So I tried what u said. The helmet doesn't move. As I had mentioned earlier, it's quite a snug fight.Originally posted by Ankitsingh007 View PostWear your helmet and shake your head left and right for a few times.
The helmet should move with your head rather that the helmet swinging itself.
And do the same while shaking head back and fourth .
The correct way to see if the helmet is loose or not in my opinion .[emoji6]
Would the problem be related to the shape of the helmet?

Re: Helmets
Hi guys,
I am getting a new ride. So, in look out for a new lid. I am looking for a full face helmet with less wind noise at 90-100kmph cruising speed. Budget at around 4-6k.
Have shortlisted, MT AXISS AND MT BLADE.
1. I wear spectacles. Are these two helmets comfortable with spectacles? I have come across people on this forum who wear specs are using this MT blade. can someone tell how comfortable and fit these two helmet are? I am only looking for a full face helmet and no modular ones.
2. I would like to know what's the difference between these two.
3. MT BLADE something called as "embedded speaker pocket". What does it mean exactly and how useful it is.
4. Happened to have a look at kronos helmet from MT. just for a consideration, how good is that.
It will be really useful, if someone can give some answers to above pointers.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.

Re: Helmets
Anyone using Studds Shifter or similar priced helmets on higher powered bikes? I'm curious to know whether they shake at higher speeds or are too noisy. I wanted to use my Shifter purchased few months back with my R3 unless it's going to be unusable.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Re: Helmets
Hi emm, I have MT Blade and I use steel rim specs. I have not faced any issues, but do actually try it on and decide for yourself. My helmet is XXL size.Originally posted by emm View PostHi guys,

Even if you are uncomfortable wearing specs, there is an easy mod seen in many moto sites. It is to keep a spare spec in plastic rim (or rimless design) for moto duty and cut the rim just where it bends around ear lobe. Then simply cover the ends with tape or plasti-dip. If your helmet is snug fit, your specs will sit tight against the helmet liner and will not move around.

Re: Helmets
The Shifter is a very good Made in India helmet at its price... except maybe for the Wind Noise.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostAnyone using Studds Shifter or similar priced helmets on higher powered bikes? But there is an easy fix for that: Use earplugs while riding. I do so for my long rides and it makes a hell lot of difference in cutting down fatigue..
.. even with expensive helmets, one just can't beat the experience of riding with earplugs.

Re: Helmets
It's best under 3.4k, I have gone till 145kmhr with it and yes it produces noises above 80kmhr, but not intolerable and you can minimise even by earplugs.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostAnyone using Studds Shifter or similar priced helmets on higher powered bikes? But since you bought a R3 ,I WILL suggest not to be too greedy and spend extra on helmet.

Thanks. I'm using earbuds too. But the noise is a bit audible even then.Originally posted by payeng View PostThe Shifter is a very good Made in India helmet at its price... except maybe for the Wind Noise.

I can't see the signature. Probably coz I'm on mobile app.
Could you please put the link in separately?
Thanks Buddy. The last sentence is slightly misleading. Should I buy another helmet, or not? 😆Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostIt's best under 3.4k, I have gone till 145kmhr with it and yes it produces noises above 80kmhr, but not intolerable and you can minimise even by earplugs.

I have a problem of too many bikes/helmets.
Even if I work that out, I need a comfortable helmet with the inner visor which I've got used to.
Does LS2 have any of those?Quench my thirst with gasoline!

My suggestion was to buy a better helmet than shifter, as you need to match it with your R3.

Re: Helmets
I tried searching for this helmet for a month now. Problem is I've a big head and the size L doesn't fit me. Authorized dealers do not have for Shifter range at all. I spoke to the General Manager East Zone today (Mr. Swaroop). Instead of helping me find the correct size, he started explaining me that the L size is 580 mm and is suitable for the average Indian head size, and that I should use the L size and it will get loose with time. Huh!
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

Re: Helmets
Thanks for your reply bro!! Its a nice day that you have suggested. In this case you can even save your regular glasses from going bad by using inside tight helmet. Do you have any idea about the embedded speaker feature in this MT blade.? Is it really useful. Apart from this feature blade and axxis looks almost the same, so I am thinking whether the extra 1.4k is worth. Am I thinking right or the MT BLADE is really worth well over axis's?Originally posted by deejayrox View PostHi emm, Then simply cover the ends with tape or plasti-dip. Here you are: My Studds Shifter Helmet Review
After putting in the earplugs, my ride experience was really quiet, silent and relaxing.
And yes the Sun Visor on the Shifter is pretty good and useful
