Re: Helmets
Hi guys,
My name is Navneet and i am a newbie to the world of bigger bikes. Riding a month old ER6N. I am looking for a good helmet. Currently using a studds shifter. Although the helmet seems fine, but this one time at a speed of around 150, i could feel a lot of movement, probably because of the gaps between the cheek padding and cheeks. So looking for a helmet around 5000 with a comfortable, snuggle fit. heard the LS2 FF358 wolverine is a good helmet, but not able to find it in delhi. looking for it for only because of the AIR PUMP feature. Any idea where to get it and for how much? Or something similar to that. Swift response will deeply appreciated

Since you ride a bike which can touch 200kmph, do you think shifter can sustain that speed.
Also LS2 is highly doubtful now post all those fake news. And also air pump will go kaput in few months, so kindly avoid. Also the cheek area should be snug fit and also on the forehead area. I would suggest you to look for better brands like HJC, Airoh which have good rating on ECE and SHARP sites.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Helmets
Park the Shifter and try increasing your budget by a couple grands. Why do I say so? You have a few lids within 5k for sure but then we're not talking about pulsars and karizmas here, right?Originally posted by Navneet.321 View PostHi guys,

Get a good MT *whatever model* in 7k. Get HJC if you further your budget to 10k.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Re: Helmets
As others said increase your budget and you can get MT revenge which I think costs 6750/-. If you go in the range of ₹8000-9000 then you can get HJC CS-R2.Originally posted by Navneet.321 View PostHi guys,

prateek : Relax brother, its nothing to feel bad about. Its just that i was riding a classic 500 before the ER6N and had bought the shifter for that purpose. Since the time i have upgraded to the kwacker, i have been hunting for a good helmet, but there are so many options that i am just confused to the core. I don't mind spending a little extra for the helmet, because after all it is for my own safety and this is like a one time cost. Divya Sharan : Brother i am looking for a helmet which will replace the shifter. As soon as i get one, will definitely part the shifter in some corner of the house. chandan : Budget i can increase, but as i said earlier, i am newbie here, so dont have much idea about these brands as there are so many and you can lost in them forever.
Plus i am also looking for a helmet for my wife also. Suggestions on that also. She rides occassionally.2004 Bajaj Discover

Re: Helmets
I got it recently, its a LOT better than Axxis in terms of wind noise. As for buffeting, haven't gone fast enough yet to check that yetOriginally posted by Sarvajit View PostAnyone using the MT Revenge? Wanted to know the performance at high speeds w.r.t. Wind noise and buffeting
PS More than the helmet, it depends on how snug the fitting is, if its a proper snug fit, you'll notice a huge reduction in wind noise

Re: Helmets
Well since we both are riding the same machine, mine 3 months old now, and I have been using the MT Blade alpha, which I bought it for 6250/- from a dealer here at my place, you can also check out at their website if a local dealer is not available at your place, but if there is one, I suggest you try out personally for the best fit. Mine fits perfectly, which is a very snug fit and also the quality is really good for that price. You can check out the picture below. I would suggest the same brand or you can even try Kranos of their own for your wife, its a bit light compared to MT.Originally posted by Navneet.321 View Post@prateek : Relax brother, its nothing to feel bad about. You can have a look at HJC CL-17 line up, it costs around 9k.Originally posted by Navneet.321 View Postprateek : Relax brother, its nothing to feel bad about. MT is another alternative and so is SOL SF5.

Re: Helmets
I've been using MT Blade Alpha for a few months now. Really good so far. It has a very snug fit, hence wind noise is almost negligible. There's no buffeting too.
The only drawback is that it has a long break-in period. Took me more than a month. Now it's more comfortable. Very happy and satisfied so far. Mine came with the double D lock. It's very safe.

Thanks for the reply. Which bike are you using? I am using an LS2 currently and it starts buffeting after 120 kmph on my R3.Originally posted by AngadV View PostI got it recently, its a LOT better than Axxis in terms of wind noise. As for buffeting, haven't gone fast enough yet to check that yet

Re: Helmets
Hello everyone!
need valuable suggestions of you guys for a full face helmet.
budget - anything under 3k though i can extend it {a bit}.
usage - 70% in city with occasional highway rides
currently considering Studds shifter, THH T76 .
PS i want to keep spare tinted or iridium visor with me. just a clear visor won't suffice.
i have already checked out KRANOS which is one of the most suggested helmet in this budget but i didn't like its fitting at all. so a big no for kranos in advance.
need to decide fast because i am postponing my highway rides due to this only.
Burn the rubber, they said
it would be fun, they said

This is an issue even i face every time. even with the chin cover. just put it back in every time it comes out. not sure if this is the same issue across all the MT helmets. even i am looking for some suggestion!
