Not really recommended per se. Actually certain solvents do hamper the structural composition, meaning some chemicals react with polycarbonate shells and make them softer than they are used to, which in turn reduces the impact absorption capability of the shell. The paints used on a good motorcycle helmet is as important as the styrofoam itself. So, unless you don't know what paint that you're gonna be using or not sure what the end result would be, I would suggest a no.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

Ya . that's what I was planning first. But I had a doubt about finishing quality of wrapping particularly at edges and air vent provisions. [emoji19]

Actually after reading quite a lot on helmets over the last 2 years, I have learned that it again depends on your preferences and one should make an attempt to try as many as he/she can before getting one. The problem in India is that you don't have the option available to try many of these brands before getting one and have to heavily rely on online reviews.

I got seriously lucky with the Vortex. I got is at 50% off and it was everything that I wanted.

                  1) I don't have the RS-1, I have the vortex which is 1 level below the RS-1. 2 of my friends have the RS-1. So here is my as impartial take on it as possible:
                  2) Paint Quality and fit and finish is superb.
                  3) I prefer the Bell's and Shoei's interiors to AGV and ARAI. I got to try AGV and ARAI's during a short trip to US. I personally find Bell and Shoei interiors to be more plush than ARAI and definitely more plush than the AGV. I am a big Rossi fan and would love to buy a Rossi Replica, but somehow I just don't get along with AGV's interiors. They are very good, but I guess I prefer a bit more plush. Bell's interiors are really comfortable and plush.
                  4) Its on the heavier side.
                  5) Its on the louder side
                  6) It does not come with a Pin Lock insert for winter riding
                  7) The 1st city defogging position on the visor is a bit too big
                  8) The visor changing mechanism is very easy.
                  9) Both the guys using the RS-1 are pretty happy but they got it at a much cheaper price. 1 got it for around 21K from High note. The other got is from US for around 200$.

I have not tried any of the Shark's helmets, but a good friend is a fan and recently got the one you have highlighted and he is very happy with it. My hunch is that in the middle segment, I would not be surprised if Shark has better helmets than Bell.

The one website which I go to for any helmet reviews is webbikeworld.com
I really like their reviews and find them honest and impartial.

                  Best of luck!!

                      Hi,

Well, now there are numerous places in Delhi to get good lids.
I think the catch is that most outlets will are distributors of certain brands. So to save time, find one which you want to buy, go to its dealer and get it.
Some of the top one's are:
                      1) High Note Performance - Bell Helmets
                      2) Rider's Placent - HJC, AGC, MT
                      3) Moto Madness - HJC, SHOEI, AGV

You can always go to Karol Bagh. Chopra is one of the most known guys for helmets in Karol Bagh.

                      CHEERS!!

Any fellow xbhpians who currently own or have owned or inspected THH helmets would like to share their experience with the quality of these lids?

Me and a friend of mine are looking for something that is below 4-5k or maybe less. I was checking out Sol and MT while my friend suggested me THH. So far I know that they are Taiwanese made, DOT certified, not hard to find and good value for money. Oh and they have some really good graphics too, but that is secondary. I would not mind getting one for now and later upgrading to SOL, MT or hopefully HJC and keeping the THH as a backup or for the pillion.

                          Cheers and regards.

I use the coil lock available at Decathlon to lock it to the grab rail of my bike, it depends on what type of grab rail your bike has, as some bikes have open grab rails, where the coil lock is of no use, mine is a closed one, so it helps and also once removing the lock, it can be kept inside the seat itself or can be carried in a bag pack, so aesthetically also the bike is unaltered

                                Hi mate,

For the price bracket of 4-5k you can opt for MT.
