Update on my helmet search @siddharthmsc

Sorry for late update, I ended up buying MT Mugello (size M) from ProBiker as that was best fit of the lot for me from LS2, SMK, THH and SOL.



Costed me 4250 INR. Dual certified DOT+ECE, no pinlock visor by default but can get fixed anytime in 1450 INR. I didn't fit it right away as I wanted to see the default behavior. I did a 300 KMs ride afterwards, it fogs plenty though, little more than my Steelbird Oscar.

Fits real snug, cheeks hurt a little after some time, I hope the padding gets shaped accordingly soon. My neck also started to hurt after total of 4 hours of riding so guess will have to adjust to the weight of this bugger.

There was another MT model with the name Stinger at 5000 INR which fit me exactly like Mugello, I could've chosen that but as per the shop guy, it didn't offer anything else over Mugello except a more 'aerodynamic' design.
So far so good.

Got this from Orion motors riding stores, Bangalore. Costed 6750/- and this is available at a price of 7475/- on Spartans pro-gear site.

I have got the XL size and its a snug fit for me. Comes with a pin lock visor, double D ring and has 5 star SHARP rating. Weighs around 1.5kilos.

Have used it for more than 700kms now and it is really comfortable even if the speed is towards north of 100kmph. But there is a slight irritating whistle kind of sound which comes from the left side of the helmet. Have tried closing the air vents just to check if they are the culprits but no luck. If you ride with the visor open then the sound gets really bad and its highly irritating. Also it fogs up real quick if you are stationary at signals

Mt revenge is pretty nice and best in protection that you can have under 7k budget

However would appreciate if some more gloss designs were available like in the spain market.

guys watch this video,its really shocking to see how the top indian brands fare in the simple seldgehammer test,better to increase your budget and shift to dot ece helmet than an isi one.

You can try SMK Helmets they are comparatively cheaper ECE Certified and offer quite good bang for the buck. Plus they come with PINLOCK (an antifog insert) with is 100% fog proof.

But the visor is definitely not upto the mark. It tends to get wore out earlier than the competition and thus, you cannot life the visor up at a particular angle.

MT Mugello. Depends on the fit too, if its snug, its quiet.

got myself a new helmet AXOR WITH DUAL CERTIFICATION ECE AS WELL AS DOT, mrp 4,499,pros much better fit than smk
cons no pinlock available even as an option and not fog proof,

Can anyone suggest me a helmet?

Budget: < 7000
Needed features: Antifog/pinlock is must for me, good soundproof/noise cancellation till 80s atleast
Good to have: internal sun visor, bluetooth support(pocket or embedded if any)

Closest thing according to my survey is SMK Force but have seen many saying water comes inside helmet during rains.

Any SMK Force users review?

Kindly suggest me other models which fits for my need.

About the above video. Not sure how impartial or scientific such a test is!

But a helmet should not be in one piece after being whacked by a sledgehammer! It should have broken into pieces. The shattering of the helmet is what absorbs and distributes the force of impact. If the shell compresses and regains it shape. Then that's bad.
