i don't seem to be getting the ls2 dragon for that price.. i called up a dealer (chopra automobiles,karol bagh..as many people have suggested in this thread) and he too says that the ls2 range starts at 3.5k!

So you mean to say the LS2's we are getting from various Authorised dealers and some famous shops around the country between the price 2.8k - 4k are all Duplicate ?

Try getting him down to 2.5k or 2.6k for LS2 Dragon.... And do try LS2 Phobia / LS2 Cartoon too ... they cost smwhere near 3k too.

thanks man!.. i went to the shop. all my attempts of bargaining were useless! the final price he quoted for ls2 dragon was 3.5k! for vega shadow was 4.5k n ls2 phobia was 5.5k .. but i finally bought the studds scorpion for 3.8k .. really liked it!

3.8 for this helmet seems pretty okayish ... as same helmet was quoted for 4.5k in lucknow few months back..

Don't know about LS2 dragon's make , retail and distributor price but I did a bit of RnD before buying LS2 Phobia. Both LS2 Cartoon and LS2 Phobia belong to same FF350 family . Both of these models are imported ones and they don't have any local versions. Most of the market stock has same European standard certification - "ECER22-05" ( http://www.smf.org/articles/hic/Vari...lmets_stds.pdf ) .
You can easily get this for 3k at any reputed Helmet store. I got it from Helmet Paradise, Bangalore with same specifications at 3K

helmets with chin protection

most of the full face helmets I have seen don't have any protection at the chin...there is a wafer thin layer of foam or just plastic(for cheaper ones) there.....

am asking this as now I have seen two accidents where this has caused injury......one happened to me only....fell at 40-50, face down on road.....helmet hit the road....chin hits the helmet cut on chin....,
other to a friend.....fell at 70-80....same scenario....bigger cut...

the possible solutions I can think of are:
1) wear a tight helmet and the strap should be tight as well, o that your head/chin doesn't moves forward to hit the helmet: the problem is whatever helmet you use..it slowly loosens up...
2) Wear a helmet with large clearance at chin...kinda motocross

Any other solution: any helmet which comes with good chin protection.....??
