Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of turmeric stains from a matte finish helmet? A f**king stupid friend of mine touched my lid with dirty hands, which has left 2 marks on my beautiful LS2.

I'm confused. Your brother bought the Ninja 650R from a helmet shop? Or did he buy a helmet from the Probiking center? Cos AFAIK, probiking only sells bikes, no helmets, jackets, nothing.

Sorry for the confusion. My brother lives in the US. He bought his red Ninja 650R maybe two years ago. The shop where he bought it from also stocks riding gear and he picked up some for himself. Because he's made such a purchase, he a got a little discount on the Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 he got for me.

So, I bought a helmet from Chopra's in Karol Bagh. LS2's quality really is nice and that's what made me overshoot my budget. I bought the LS2 Piston Head for INR 2800/-. The graphics caught my attention and I loved the overall feel of the helmet. Bought it with a clear visor...

However, when I bought it and reached my office, I got a call from my brother that he may be able to get me a good deal on a Sparx S-07 helmet from the store where he bought his Ninja 650R. Now as much as I'd love to keep the LS2, I can afford only one helmet at a time. The Sparx would cost a little more than the LS2 but I'm aware of its quality standard and fit so it's worth the stretch.

If anyone in Delhi/Noida is interested in my LS2 Piston head for Rs 2500/- (should be reasonable), send me a PM or mail me at [email protected]. I have worn it for about ten minutes on a cool day and it's been lying unused in its bag since then. I have the bag and manual but not its box. Left that at the shop.

Well I have very, very little time left now to confirm my decision about the Sparx lid to my brother. I can tell him only after I sell off my LS2 mainly because I have to get my P220's chain-sprocket set and damper changed immediately (squeezed it too much get the last few kilometres - no more) and possibly the clutch plates. Many of you know that's not a small expenditure. That's why I can't afford two new helmets right now.

So if somebody could please just take it off my hands for Rs 2000/- that will at least cover a set of new plates plus labour. What am I going to do with a fancy helmet if my bike's reliability is suspect?

PS: I'll be going to Chandigarh on Thursday morning so I won't be in the NCR from then till Sunday.

Guys i have a question..I have a vega offroad(goggles version)..a friend of mine told that this helmets are designed for motocross purpose which can hold blows at 40 kmph..but i ride with this helmet on highways also at 90+ speeds I'm worried will it be effective in that condition?..

Yaaaay I successfully managed to get rid of the stains using some alcohol swabs and washing powder.

AFAIK, Vega doesn't produce helmets to different standards ( if it is really ISI ) - as there is only once standard in India.

The helmets therefore would vary in style only and not safety standards. That said, the peaked front of off-road helmets are not suited for high-speed riding as they tend to catch the wind and jerk the riders head around and are therefore not recommended.

I am planning to buy a LS2 helmet but i am confused which one to but among Evil twin , King Crown , espirit , phobia . apart from graphics , are there any other changes in them ( i mean the structure ) . And please let me know the prices of all the above mentioned models , that would be helpful .

BTW i own a White ZMR so which LS2 helmet will suit the most with the bike ? Please help me with this

Buddy u can go for studds/ninja in 2k which has removable glares,removable n washable padding n rainbow visor..
If u wanna save some money(for may b more petrol 2 feed ur bike) go for autogreen...

I want to buy a new helmet and my budget is up to 3K.
Safety for me is much much more important than showing-off.
I saw Cross and LS2. Are they good?
And clear visor is a prerequisite.
Please advise me on this issue.

New helmet which is Light weight

Hey guys!!

I currently use a Vega Boolean full face helmet which is a chin up helmet. Since using this helmet, am facing pain in my neck every alternate day particularly on the sides and back of the neck. Can anybody please suggest me a similar chin up type helmet which is light in weight? And where can i get it in Chennai? My budget is Rs. 3000 - 4000. Please advice.
