+1 I own a Daijya and I personally must have used the pump only twice so far. It is a nuisance unless I'm pumping for a long ride

The one thing that made me buy the LS2 FF358 was the air-pump system. It was the only helmet in the whole market (read reputed brand) that was available that fit my head. At full-pumped state the helmet did give me some fit compared to the other models. It also adds a bit quietness inside the helmet, compared to say when its deflated. That said, it still is a lot big for my head. An "M" sized shell would have been perfect.

I have no idea, why all brands have to be sold only with L and XL shells. There is no S or M shell size helmets.

Pumping up the system every time you use can be a lot annoying. It takes about 10-15 max presses for complete inflation. Not more than that.

@Sunny Sideup- Though i am tempted for a Nexx helmet after seeing yours, i guess it will be another time. For now, is there any company/brand that sells a "M" size shell helmet. (And not any "L" sized shell with "M" cheek pads. Such a package was offered for me in Bangalore). My budget is not more than 10k.

Also, considering your wear-out record, it may be wiser to go for a type that has less parts to wear out!

Also any feedback on the wind noise bit? Cross didn't make the shortlist because I didn't find the designs appealing enough. Am I missing something?

the pics and description looks genuine even if the price if quite high compared to local shops!
make sure you ask the seller before buying if the bill,LS2 stickers,booklet and helmet bag are included as these come along with the package!

also make sure of the helmet size before purchase!

I actually was asking one of my friends in US to get it for me.. It seems to be insanely expensive here in India.

As against $ 170 in US. A showroom in Bangalore is quoting the price to be INR 19500.

Any of you guys know a place or 2 close to chennai where i can get this helmet.

overall, i think ls2 could be your best bet. (not sure about the earphones thing though). If you are ready to wait for a few days, sol dealership is supposed to start up in pune next month, you can then get a sl48s in that budget (you can get it even now if you are ready for ordering online)..

Further, the air pump thing you mentioned is that in one of the ls2 models.

PRS/Vicky is reliable.For the same price id suggest you Sparx over the KBC VR1/VR1x Models.

If I were in the market for a helmet of this budget, I would stick to at least a known player like LS2 - at least the manufacturer and brand is not unknown.

About CROSS..they use the same shell and designs of LS2.they are basically the same.their Visors and i guess even the Liners are interchangeable.and they are manufactured in the same plant.

I need a new helmet which will last more than 365 days of daily usage without getting ruined.[LIST=1][*]My Budget is 4k(+/- 10%)

at 4k Indian Made AGV GP1's are available and also few VEMAR's at around 2-3k.
