Others you mention have mostly unbranded protectors, I have no idea about those protectors.
Regarding gloves check Rynox Shield SPS and Viaterra Holeshot. Both are under 3k, get Knox SPS sliders.
Hope this helps you.

Jacket - our of your choices, AIR GT is the nicest one, it has updated protectors (check for tag on zip)Originally posted by madhan01 View PostHi guys, I am looking out to buy a leather short cuff gloves, and a riding jacket. I am riding FZ 25 and my daily commute will cover a distance of 70 kms mostly on highway. As I have to use them daily suggest something comfortable. I have searched extensively but ended up with confusion. And there are no proper reviews about the glove or jacket.
1) scmitar razor
2) mototorque resistor
3) rynox air gt
4) scala marvel
Were the ones I finalised. Everything priced 5,999 and comes with CE level 2.
Help me choose one.
In gloves kindly suggest anything below 3000, preferably leather.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
All three are good jackets and have their pros and cons.Originally posted by steelbreeze View PostI have narrowed down to these three riding jackets:
1. Solace Furious v2
2. Rynox Stealth Evo v3
3. Mototech Trailblazer TourPro
Which one is recommended?
I would recommend trying them out in a store, looking at protector sizes, feel of the jackets, ventilation and that's it.
Get the one that suits you the most.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Both have a lot of similarities as well as differences.Originally posted by Gurinderjit Singh View PostRynox Storm Evo or Solace Sabre Mesh jacket?
Differences -
* Storm has metal sliders on shoulders.
* Sabre uses 1000D cordura on shoulders and elbows.
* Sabre has hydration bladder pocket on the back.
* Sabre has snug sporty fit, Storm is relaxed fit.
* Sabre has external rain liner, Storm has internal (as of now, might have been updated)
* Sabre has protectors from Powertector on the back, shoulders and elbows. Storm has protectors from Knox on shoulders and elbows, Powertector on back (updated now)
* Sabre has open sporty type of collar, Storm has a closed one.
Similarities -
* Both jackets use Cordura on impact zones (different deniers)
* Both have a similar back protector.
* Both have reliable and known branded protectors all around.
* Both have EVA foam pad as chest protectors. (upgrade costs ₹950 for Storm - Rynox Cerros chest protector and ~₹1900 for Sabre - Sas-tec chest protector insert, both being CE Level 1)
Both jackets have ample reflective panels.
Hope this helps your buying decision, pick the one you like design wise, both are good and reliable. A little price difference is present but that gap is filled once you look at chest protector upgrade in future.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Thanks. That is really helpful. I have checked out the Solace Jackets online and they do look good. I will try them out for the fit and take a call.. Thanks again for your assistance!Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostGiving you a few gear choices that I have personally tried on and some of them that are new too.
Riding jackets - Rynox Stealth evo v3 and Solace Furious v2 are 'the' best touring jackets out there, obviously design is your personal view, but none would let you down.
Gloves - Rynox Apex Evo / Viaterra Grid. Both have Knox SPS sliders and these sliders work really well in enhancing safety.
Pants - Strike the BBG out, keep Rynox and Solace as your options. Reason - better branded protectors.
Knee protectors - Check Aspida and Mototech.
Yes ladies jacket have a different cut and protector design. These jackets can be unisex, but it is your decision in the end. The adjustments make up for the cut. If you need to check ladies jackets, check Mototech and Solace, they have level 2 protectors from Safetech and Powertector respectively, both are well trusted.
Goodluck !
Cheers,

Giving you a few gear choices that I have personally tried on and some of them that are new too.Originally posted by sukeshchande View PostHello All,
So..I was thinking of picking up a few essential riding gear. Close to two weeks worth of reading and researching, I've shortlisted the following gear (need two of each, for wifey as well):
Riding Jacket
Rynox Stealth Evo V3
Gloves
Rynox Apex Evo
OR
ASPIDA Ares Full Gauntlet
Pants
Rynox Stealth Evo
OR
BBG Riding Pant
(Though might buy this may a couple of months out). Would you recommend any knee protectors in the meanwhile?
Any feedback/suggestions on the choices? I understand that some of them might not be in stock and I'm OK with waiting for a while to get something good.
Also, I see that Aspida (and BBG) has a separate jacket for Women but didn't find anything similar in Rynox or TBG. Are these jackets generally unisex?
Cheers,
Sukesh

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Don't know about sas-tec, but i think some of Powertector armour does passes T+ & T-, also rynox does sell them on their site.Originally posted by Astrix View PostI would suggest you to go for the Rynox Storm Jacket.
The shoulder/ Elbow protectors are Level 2 from Knox (UK). The advantage of Knox protectors over sastec is that 1) It passes the CE tests of T+ and T- and in India T+ CE test should certainly be considered while you look for Level 2 protectors 2) Knox provides a 5 years warranty on protectors. The Knox protectors used in Storm Jacket are also the latest technology- Knox Microlock.
Sastec and Powertector Level 2 protectors both don't pass these test.
The Back protector is Powertector.
Chest are EVA pads and upgradable to CE certified ones.
It has external titanium sliders. (Added protections against slide)
At Impact zones the Rynox Storm jacket has Invista (Du Pont) Cordura which is far more superior in terms of abrasion resistance than any denier of Polyester.
