Can the padding of thunder attached to Muggello?Originally posted by kiran2508 View PostI've spent some 500kms+ all together on the MT Revenge, Blade(now the Axor Stealth), Mugello and Thunder helmets.
Mugello is not at all a bad helmet, but when compared Revenge and Thunder, Mugello is bare bones, the Thunder has padding which is much more premium quality, both to touch and feel, Thunder feels more weighted and solid to to hold and wear (which give more confidence in the helmet personally).
Also I kept pulling the Mugello down couple of time kind of felt it was falling short to cover my chin completely and chin was hanging out, but had no such problem on the Thunder, it completely covered my chin and there was no pulling down again and again.
Wind noise is a bit problem in Mugello when compared to any other since its the entry model MT helmet, there is a mesh hole in the front left and right side which cannot be closed atall inthe Mugello, which causes hauling at speeds. Finally Thunder has a tinted sun visor which can be helpful for touring and city rides if you are into that sort of thing
Take a look at the paddings side by side yourself, compare both pics and the quality.
At the end of the day choice is all based on the individual, compare them side by side and choose the one that you like which fits your need.
Happy riding

1. Back protectors can be replaced.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostI suppose the back protector can be changed right? Or is it non-replaceable?
And do shed some light on the thermal liner of it as well in terms of functionality.
2. Thermal liner suffices for Delhi winters, over just a cotton T-shirt inside.

Back protector can be changed. I don't think you can buy Knox armours (the ones on your Elbow and shoulders) as they are not sold separately, but can buy SASTEC L2 armours from Solace gears website. I think many have bought the back Armour and are using it in the GT jacket so compatibility is not a problem. Else, call them up and check if it fits for peace of mind.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostI suppose the back protector can be changed right? Or is it non-replaceable?

I suppose the back protector can be changed right? Or is it non-replaceable?Originally posted by roy_libran View PostI have the Air GT V2, apart from 2 leathers (Triumph and Joe Rocket). The leathers have been my usual jackets through the winter. But, I use the Air GT usually in wet conditions or on hot days. It's a good jacket that doesn't let in water in wet conditions, and gives decent airflows minus the linings on hot days. The back protector is Foam and a bit uncomfortable, so I don't use it. In comparison the back protectors of both my other jackets are way better. But, then there is a vast difference in price too.
Overall, it's a good, versatile, well-priced jacket.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Rynox uses Knox L2 armours which are globally recognised, on the shoulder and elbow.Originally posted by Maxsteel View PostRynox Stealth Evo v3, MotoTorque Resistor Lvl 2 or Rynox Tornado Pro. Trying to find what's major difference between them. I am almost finalised on MotoTorque Resistor lvl 2 due to Budget but will wait until all options are explored.
Tornado Pro is a mesh jacket, Stealth is a touring jacket, needless to say, stealth runs hotter.
Pick tornado pro.
The other brand here doesn't use any globally known protection and until you are tight on budget, keep away from same. Hope it helps !

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Rynox Stealth is a damn good jacket for the price if it comes with Knox/SAS-TEC. Due to current conversion rates , the jackets from USA wouldn't make a lot of sense. These Indian Jackets you named aren't far behind in terms of fit n finish. My Spartan jacket has been going strong since 5 yrs now. Only their badging at back has lost its rubber coating, fabric is still intact. A simple dip in plain water gets rid of all dust accumulated and it's as good as new. A wash in 6 months makes it shine.

Re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
This might be a repeat question but can't find a definite answer.
With limited budget of INR 7k-10k, I'm a bit confused whether to get a jacket here (a Rynox, TBG, Spartan or any other Indian brand based on good review from users) in India or should I get one from US (one of my friend coming 2 month later. But I'll have to order online and mail it to his address. And he has no clue about these stuffs. All this has to be checked by me online while buying).
I see that most jackets in US are at range $100 onwards with no major plus points in terms of feature list when compared to similar priced (INR 7200) products in India. So apart from feature wise, is there any major improvement in quality available there at this low rate? I saw few jackets at $150 - $160 range, but in that range (around INR 11500) I'll get a Rynox Stealth Evo or a Spartan Aspida Odysseus (and also other options) most of which are all weather with all kinds of CE-2 level protectors (knox or sas-tec, based on model of jacket). How do these jackets fare against similar priced ones available in US Stores.
In same context, I also feel like, it's better to get a non-waterproof mesh jacket for better air circulation and have additional rain liner (preferably external) rather than waterproof mesh (ones with some kind of wax coating) which is common in jackets in US. Please correct me if I'm wrong in this matter.
Hoping to clear my doubts here on whether it's worth purchase from US and wait till it is delivered or should I go ahead a purchase one here. If any better jackets are available at the price point in US, could anyone please point me out the link to it or at least name a brand and model?

Stealth Evo is a very good jacket. Just make sure you picked up the v3- that’s the latest one and it comes with CE certified Ceros chest protectors and a level 2 back protectors which was missing in the older version.Originally posted by akshaysondkar View PostThanks alot.although i went for rynox stealth evo jacket and scala gloves. Both of them are super fine[emoji106].how ever the jacket is quite pricey though.in thane, mumbai it costed me around 11.5k and gloves around 2.5k
Trust me you have paid for yout safety and it is always worth it
