Safety always comes with a price :-). I hope you have picked up the latest version of Stealth. Think it's V3, which has few more feature than it's predecessors.

Theres another brand DSG Evo but I don't know much about them. Good feedback though.

Pants either Rynox Advento or Solace coolpro. Aspida Protheus has recently launched but don't have too many details.

Gloves: depends on whether it's for city use or Touring. City use: Solace passion city are decent. Touring: TBG sport are good

Overall, please go and try the products yourself rather than buying online. They need to fit perfectly!

I have been using the BB Explorer for a year now....Its pretty ok, but a little heavy. Protections are CE level1 and the back on is just a foam. It comes with a thermal layer which is detachable. It also comes with a rain jacket which can be worn outside ( and the jacket has a pouch in the back to carry it), which I feel is more practical.

Rynox jackets seems to be the favourite among riders though atleast in Kochi, with most riders using them.

I also picked up my Solace Furious from a solace dealer and he also spoke negative things about Rynox and their customer support too. So maybe take feedback from Solace dealers with a pinch of salt (or maybe a little bit more). Though the Furious is a great jacket, there are small stitching and threads coming out (not a deal killer so far).
It’s a wonderful jacket- Rynox Tornado Pro. I have almost lived in this one for years now and also taken minor crashes (daily commutes though). As far as I know Spartan I have heard about bad customer service- This one coming from a user and not a dealer.

Rynox customer support have never really heard bad. Infact they are the only ones who are upfront to put up an online warranty claim wherein they directly interact with the customer. Seems quite transparent to me.

Else brands and dealers generally make you run from one door to the other to even get the warranty in process.

But as you said, the dealer you have you this feedback was a dealer of Solace so sure he is not going to talk great about Rynox as he doesn’t sell it. Similarly may be a Rynox Dealer will talk ill about Solace. But that’s just Indian brand dealers for us.

As this is mainly for my upcoming peak summer ride plans specifically, rain protection would be an oversized rain jacket from Decathlon, carried with me just in case.
Belfast and RevIt are very good from what I know. I just gave a general idea of what to see. Goodluck.

It is bit too hot for warm weather, bit too cold for cold weather, not even as quick drying as polyester or cordura material, but good for water and windproofing (if the wax coating is good or new).

Waxed cotton flows with the body and is more comfortable in that factor.

And yes my experience of waxed cotton - It stick to everything and it stinks when wet.

Any location in Delhi /ncr where I can check out riding jackets from Alpinestars/denise and one of budget brands? I want to see if its worth it to pay premium for Alpinestars.

Am only finding online stores on searching google. Alpinestars/denise dealer location would be even better. Can't find it on their site.

2- Buy Raida Tourbine / Rynox T pro - both come with known level 2 protectors and a full size winter liner. Raida will be lighter than Rynox, both are level 2. Buy a back protector with it. (would cost you 1650 to 2150, both the jackets do not come with a good back protector, just a foam pad). Also you can wait for new jackets coming up, many have been showcased at Rider Mania Goa. (I expect January launches, will try to ask brands)

3- Waterproof gloves would be very uncomfortable in summers. I would recommend buying two pairs from the money you save from helmet and jacket.
    * Leather gloves - Solace Bravo v2 is the most VFM and latest launch. ₹3200 for full gauntlets.
*Winter/rain gloves - Raida RainX or Solace Striker both are good and newly launched/updated.

4- Knee protectors are very restrictive and uncomfortable in my opinion. Buy a Scoyco K12 / Solace Pace knee guard for the time being and start saving for a riding pant. (both are different type of knee guards)

5- Mobile holder - RAM mount is trusty, others are finicky. Copies of RAM mount are available everywhere, do buy it with a good quality tether (rubber elastic).

6- Not much idea about paint protection available at your place.
Parth, do you have any update about the new jacket launch? I haven't purchased a jacket yet and am waiting if a new and better one launches.

I met a guy who is a authorised solace dealer and he said he had the tornado and it is a terrible jacket in terms of quality and protection both. He showed me the solace furious and was convincing me to to go for that but that's 11k and wayyy beyond my budget. I tried the nemesis l2, tornado, Helios, and furious. I liked how nemesis and furious felt. The nemesis was heavy but the armors felt comfortable and covered my shoulders and elbows properly. The furious shoulder armor felt a little lacking. The quality however was a bit better on the furious.

I tried solace full gauntlets for summer and they felt nice but they can't be used as standalone gloves without the jacket. But man are they comfortable

I'm getting curious about the adventure touring jackets with wax cotton outer and the necessary protective inserts which are available abroad under select reputed brands. They are very pricey to say the least.

Does anyone here know much about wax cotton's abrasion resistance when compared to the varieties of Cordura or 800D polyester fabrics used today?

My reason to look along this direction is that in the upcoming months of heat & humidity, a riding jacket with a protective outer shell with some sort of abrasion resistant natural fibre mix makes a lot more sense than pure synthetic fabric outers.

And yes, Mototech has a model with the construction I'm talking about - any opinions on the same?

    TIA!

There is misunderstanding, what MT mean when they say "pinlock" is that they have there own anti-fog pinlock insert which you have purchase from them, which is made specifically for their MT helmets.
You cannot use the regular international standard Pinlock(which is big helmet standard) available which every other helmet brand refers to with their helmets.

MT should have market their helmets saying "Anti-fog insert ready" instead of marketing it as "Pinlock insert ready"

    https://www.spartanprogear.com/colle...in-lock-insert[/QUOTE]

Unfortunately there is a design flaw with Revenge series. I bought the helmet from Spartanprogears in Kochi. After the first ride to the hill station and trying the toothpaste trick on the second one, I decided its better to get a pinlock. The shop owner told me that pinlock cannot be put in the Revenge because of this issue which I never noticed until he showed me. I wrote to customer service asking them whether v06, v09 or v12 fits the Revenge. They first replied that V09 can be put. The very next day a lady called from the customer service and apologised saying that pinlock cannot be put into revenge. They send a letter also apologising for it.

So I went back to the shop and bought a bottle of Muc Off anti fog spray !
