But still they say that there is a knuckle protection on a MX Gloves. It no where says "they don't have knuckle protection". Please guide me ahead and really thanks for poking me at this aspect.Originally posted by payeng View PostGoogle it..

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Googling motocross gloves plainly gives you some snaps of gloves, which in and if itself shows plain glove. I have scoyco motocross gloves which are plain gloves with foam padding and that's it, most motox gloves are that way.
Motocross gloves are gloves afterall, they can be used in cycling, road and moto, but why is better left to individual discretion.
Some do have padding and some don't. Magazines can advocate what they feel is good for the show, but ultimately the discretion is ones own.
Cheers!

Sir, what I came across was that MX Gloves are provided with "Neoprene Knuckles" (which you just referred as foam padding). And so I think it may be incomplete to say that "they don't have knuckle protection" (although it is meager)Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Postwhich in and if itself shows plain glove. Wow I saw new shop in goregaon west.
300-400 meter from S9 helmets.
He had hardly 6-7 helmets but AGV and other good looking popular rands.
And many full suite, jackets, Motul chain lube and Motul 300V oil.

re: Universal : Riding Gear Thread
Finally I got to actually wear the Rage and the Revive on a longish ride outside the city limits. (yeyie). Fortunately now,I didn't get to test their impact resistance capabilities. I did however, get caught in a freak rain/sand storm for a few minutes which forced me to seek shelter. But the jacket was already messed up due to the dust. Had to wash it asap. Fairly easy. One cap of Ezee thingy detergent in a bucket of lukewarm water was enough to get rid of the dust wedged in the mesh shell and cordura. About the gloves, though,I switched to my basic Probiker gloves once I saw the clouds gathering. The Revive soaks up around 25-30 ml of Coconut oil easily. It does help it remain soft and supple though. About time I invested in a leather wax/spray.
This zipper right at the back near where the butt is supposed to start is intriguing me. Is it a connector for riding pants or something like the ones in Spartans?
Not very sure about this badly printed logo on the mesh. Giving it a month or two. Tops. Kinda ruins the look of the jacket,if you ask me. The previous version was better.
The scotchlite makes it look fantastic at night, but raises questions as to its durability as so many other reviewers have written.
The spine armour. Fairly comfortable even while not riding. Doesn't feel cumbersome at all.
The elbow guard. Made of dual density foam. But as sunnysideup! has verified before( comparing the Rjays Swift and the Spartan Icarus),this is the TYPE-A protector. Not the TYPE -B.
All in all,the Rage is a robust jacket which doesn't allow you to sweat at all unless you are standing absolutely still with all your riding gear on,in a room without a working fan. Even then you can just unzip the jacket and let it hang. ( hehe) The armours fit perfectly over the shoulders and elbows and actually kind of make your chest look more broad. Well, that's what I have been told. If you want a jacket for everyday use, with nice enough looks, with really good ventilation and light weight as a priority, then The Rage is a really good choice.
Coming to the Revive now,the stitching isn't upto mark. At all. The velcro is pathetic. Atleast we have the option to rectify that at the unfriendly neighbourhood tailor.
I guess the Keprotec fabric is the one which is wearing out.
The scotchlite is,again, fantastic to look at night.
The fingers have started to look like this within a month of usage. It doesn't feel bad,but just doesn't give the grip over the throttle as much as I wouldv'e liked. The throttle modulation suffers a bit also, due to my 200NS's soft grips. Also,a small stitching over the middle finger has given way on the right glove.
The keprotec fabric,again.
The ventilation is top-notcht though. The CF finished knuckles fit perfectly too. Easily breaks in too.
Bottom line : If you have 2.2k to spare, then choose between this and the Spartan Pegasus. This is a mid cuff glove, which means it gives that extra bit of protection and allows the jacket to be tucked in. Haven't had any personal experience with the Pegasus, but the styling and quality seem to be better at first glance. Although it's a short cuff glove.Last edited by Aytas_sss; 06-01-2013, 10:01 AM.

I am using this for a month too, nothing of such sort happening on mine. Velcro sucks, yeah.Originally posted by Aytas_sss View Post

I haven't been on a ride yet, used em for regular college commute[45km total]. During those afternoon return commutes[47-48 C], these do provide good amount of ventilation. Totally satisfied.
BTW, is this wear covered under warranty?
