For jackets you can have a look at anything from joe rockets phoenix to rjays octane 2 to SPG Hyperion at that price point.Originally posted by D3VIL View PostHi guy , need suggestion

The SP-X are a good pair of gloves, I have borrowed the same from a friend in the past for a moderately long ride. Only problem is the short cuffs of these fit very weirdly and it's not a complete leather glove, also I think they aren't available anymore in India
You could also have a look at a* apex drystar/ a* sp2, if you are specifically looking for something by a*
Else you can always have a look at DSG Primal, SPG Ares, Rynox Kombat, Rjays Canyon or Joe Rockets Speedway gloves

pricing is bound to be ridiculous.still, anyone has an idea bout the same?
Had checked out the RE riding gears from the showroom at cochin. It looked ok, don't know about the armor or price, but the leather jackets they had was kickass..!!! Just perfect in sight, but not at all suitable for the southern Indian temperatures, anyways the cost would be upward 10k for sure.
And then saw the boots too, that again I loved them, they had 2 types of boot, one full length boot which costed about 6-6.k and another boot which cost around 5-5.5k.
I would have considered it, but it had the RE logo written all over it.
P.S: The quality of boots also looked fine, cannot comment on how good they will be without using it.
Cheers

If you have someone to carry it down for you from abroad then it is a really good option.

would suggest, buy two jackets:
Alpinestar AIR jacket Black for daily city use. Its best suited for summers. around 10K
Any brand waterproof touring jacket for cold weather with liner. DSG is 6K i guess. they have orange color as well..

If you want my two cents, avoid these types of gloves, if you're planning to source it from abroad. The textile glove here would be more than suffice, especially Scoyco.Originally posted by kkamaleshh View PostGuys anyone using SPIDI WAKE E gloves? Can I order it from JV PROMOTO? Any review please?

Excellent and glad to hear from you Mr. Mathews, but would you be surprised to Know that DRIRIDER and RJays are almost similar but just different brand names!Originally posted by accuengineer View PostHai Xbhpians
They say that the one who waits patiently for the results will always be fruitful. In my case it is very true. I have searched for almost a year for the proper riding jacket from SPG, rjays, cramster, etc. But to vain. Then I had been looking at the foreign markets. And atlast found the one I was looking for "DRIDRIDER". The size is 8XL.
The cost of the jacket is 249.95$Ausi(Rs.14000).
The jacket has got removable elbow, shoulder and back protector(CE approved).
Did a 100kms ride today and the jacket allows lot of air inside and I did not feel hot at all.
Now my list of safety gears are as follows.- LS2 phobia helmet(red)
- Rynox kombat(Green)
- Dririder riding jacket
- Wurth safety shoe(though industrial serves the purpose for the time being)
Safety gears to be procured(my pending list).- knox knee protector.
- knox riding shoes.
Planning to buy the remaining items in my list by Jan 2014.
Will give a detailed review in few days.
Cheers
Mathews
Dririder is an Aussie company and so is RJays. Both are manufactured in the same place. Check out the RJays website, or just google Rjays All Season Jacket and check the price on the website and then DRIRIDER you'll be getting the fruits you need. Perhaps it is the sizing issue and avlblty in RJays etc, but they do offer good sizing till 5 XL. But I guess it's great to see DRI offering till 8XL, the max they have to offer I guess.
But not to diss the fact that DRIRIDER is a really good stuff. I happen to meet an Aussie chap when one of my friend enroute to Leh crashed. This gentleman helped us with his tools. And he was wearing a DRIRIDER all weather jacket.
Congo. But you can be getting the same jacket at 10 to 12k here in India from RJays.
Cramster Elbow Old version was a work horse, did its job well, had one, lasted for well over 1.5 years before throwing it away due to velcro issues.
Saw the new one, didn't go for it, but quality is a step up from the old one, and refreshing colors. It's cheap, affordable and does the spot on.
Cramster Spine Protector. Though I've worn another brand for a brief time during a meet up, spine protectors are a good investment especially if you're touring as it helps quite a lot in back pain and makes you want your back to stiffen which is good. For city riding, underneath a Tee would be a good idea. But mobility can be an issue especially if you're out on the mall etc.
Rjays All Season 2 Pants, currently in my third year of owning the pants, it's seen the best and tough of times. Still going strong without any problems whatsoever. Mine was the old version. But the new version are refreshed with new piping, new frontal air pockets for good ventilation.
Cheers!

Why do you want to go all of a sudden to Aussie, after the whole community is piggybacking on US. Tell you what, forget Aussie, p**sy etc.
If you get a deal elsewhere it's far better off you will save some of your bucks. And there are umpteen US websites that offer closeoutsales, discounts etc, and Chrsitmas just a fortnight away, you can expect some cool offers.
Cheers!
