Basically H4 socket type has 3 pins, which makes up for 2 filaments. H7 has only 2 pins, which make up for only 1 filament.

Whole bike need not be converted to DC. Using a simple diode rectifier (Abhi tell the proper wordOriginally posted by RedApple View Posthmmn..then why is that i saw a older gen pulsar with LEDs running just fine today?? Bike hadnt been converted to DC cause i could see the headlamp flickering at idle as usual.
) the LED's can be used.
Varies from model to model. I saw a philips for 120rs and Osram for 200rs. It was plain philips and osram. Nothing like Nightbreaker or crystal vision bla bla.Originally posted by avinrichards View Postoh ok.. thanks chetan..

Its 55W.
55/60 means low on 55w and high on 60w. So single filament wont ve dual w
Car bulbs are the same for bikes if you are using higher watt like 55/60 and higher. Only thing is, you gotta check the right type of bulb which sits in your bike.Originally posted by Dogg View Postcan anyone pls tell me where i can get these bulbs in hyd.. i tried all automotive shops, but they all had bulbs for cars... if anyone can send me these, pls pm me...

Edit : For Unicorn it is H4 type. You can go with Osram Nightbreaker or some other models in Philips ( i ve never used Philips)Last edited by Shreeni0403; 10-08-2009, 10:37 AM.

Quick Word
Hey guys,
Need a good 60/55W bulb for my zma keeping the following pointer in mind:-
1. I go a lot of night riding, so there should not be any drainage issues.
2. No damage to reflectors(in the long life) when i drive for 4-5 hrs in night frequently.
I have the Osram Nightbreaker and Philips Crystal vision in mind. Which one is better? If possible, the prices too please
PS- Need a quickie reply as i need to give my bike for servicing tomorrow!
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Night Breakers are not on the same page as Crystal Vision.
Night Breakers compete with Philips Xtreme Power and
Philips Crystal Vision compete with Osram Cool Blue.

So, if i were to rate them in order of their illumination, what wud that be?
Also, the most imp factor, the cost! I need something in the range of 500 bucks!

Ok, The explanation for this is that
Night Breakers are equivalent to Philips Xtreme Power and not Philips crystal vision being slightly under powered compared to Night Breakers. Night breakers have the best light output available and they cost u somewhere around 1600 a pair and if ur lucky u can get hold of a single bulb blister pack which will cost u somewhere around 800 bucks.
