      I've just joined xBhp.

I own a 4 year old Honda Activahalogen bulb as fitted on the latest Activa and Aviator. Is it possible to do so? When I asked my Honda service centre, he simply said it was not possible.
      Any ideas?

      Thanks

It's definitely possible, though no idea about warranty issues.

        • So i plonked in an OSRAM NB in my RTR. I havent made any modification to either the coil or the wiring. Two days ago the pilot lamps (Leds) went kaput..after having them only for a couple of days. I had put the leds along with the NB and they were working fine until a couple of days ago. Now as i understand it, the system on the RTR can only deliver a max of 35w to the bulb anyways. Why would the LEDs go out? Do i need to add a relay or change the wiring? Or are the LEDs just really cheap in quality??...btw these are from JC road here in Bangalore.

did you change power to DC type ? because Leds require DC current .

                  • And hows the NB working? Does it get bright enough? And what about dimming at low rpms?

                      • A small question here. Does fitting the ONB on the ZMa need any extra mods? like adding a relay or so? My setup is by default a DC electrical setup.
My ZMA also has the indicator buzzer. I dont know how much this consumes. I am under the impression that I will have to remove the Buzzer to reduce the load for the ONB's to do its job.

Its a straight fit to ZMA.

Don't worry about the buzzer. Leave everything as it is.
