I will try ya, it takes time as the junk yard is 75Kms away from my office. IF anything cameacross will tell u. Last time I paid 250 I think, all depends hows the overall looks. And there's no gurantee for this scrap, u know it I hope. So what do u think? In my case, I was not sure about the outcome and it was just by logic I took this trial and obviously I selected the most economical option, since its tried and tested, do u really want to go for a gamble? New one will costing around 600-650/ and a scrap you have to pay a min of 250/ which is best for a onetime mod?

Sorry for misleading, it was 250 only I paid, its 4 sure, must be a typing mistake. Accept my apologies.

Yes, its a very far place from mine, but its worth to hunt for these type of trials. But believe me, I never found a lens kit there, may be crazy bikers have taken already. Going there and finding things, It takes almost a day as the traffic jams are very frequent here.

go to nana peth... There there are many scrap guys . if you are looking for something specific you can tell them they will steal it for you

Ha ha. That was funny! Yes, Nana peth is a good place to start for bike scrap in Pune... but then their 'stock' is quite a limited one and is always subject to availability (well, atleast the prices are so). For instance, I was trying to find the Pulsar220 projector headlight for a mod job, and only ONE of the dealers had it. Bugger, was quoting 1300 bucks for it... (Daylight Robbery!!!...? ) I've heard that Bajaj has a place where they auction off damaged stuff that users return as part of insurance claims, somewhere in Kothrud; but could never get the address from anyone. Does someone here at xBhp know of something like that?

In Nana Peth, there's this lane right beside the 'Chacha Halwai' shop, where most of these scrap dealers are based.

What kind of stuff are you looking for exactly? Need any pointers?

Hmm... me and couple friends did need few things but at least I could not find what I needed. As of now, I dont need anything critical. Well... do you think hey might have parts for the Shogun? Esp. body parts?

And is that Chacha Halwai or Kaka Halwai? Dont recall seeing either there... but can ask and find out. Nana Peth actually gives me the creeps...
