Actually, I am not very sure of the Halwai's name myself. But then its not very difficult to spot. Assuming you're coming from Camp --> pass the chowk with a small 'Dargah' (shrine/tomb) in the center and proceed towards Laxmi Road, the Halwai is about 30 metres down the road from the Dargah; take the right turn into the lane BEFORE the Halwai and there you are.

Well, I can't really say if they've got Shogun parts or not, coz -like I mentioned- all parts are not available always, you gotta keep coming back to check from time to time; hey, its a scrapyard so you'll get parts only when bikes get scrapped.

On another note, mind telling us why place creeps you out BTW? IMHO, once you get the hang of how and where to bargain there, you might be able to get a lot of good stuff at competitive prices for yourself.

    • Guys,

Any links or pointers to hid lamps that can be fixed on the handlebars and taken off when not needed?

I am on the look out for this as I do not want to make the HID's permanent into the headlight assembly.

Ok, thanks for the directions... will try and check out when I'm that side next.

As for why that place gives me the creeps... dude, its perfectly evident, for anyone who visits there personally. If it isn't, then I got nothing to say...

That aside, I have found most of the people there to be not so nice. Most are crafty, v shabby and will cheat you at the 1st opportunity in any which way. Right from battery dealers to wheel truers (spoked), to parts dealers, I'v not had a v good experience. Somebody who knows better or has personal contacts may of course have a different experience...

No problemo dude. Like I said, it ain't so 'creepy' once you get the hang of how and where to bargain, especially considering how resourceful (or 'full of resources') the place is.

Word-play aside, as far as my experience goes, the first shop to your right, as you enter the lane (taking the turn next to the Chacha/Kaka Halwai) has stuff at rates which are cheaper than most others down the lane... And trust me, the difference in price is well-worth a mention. Just a friendly hint in case you ever need to check out the place yourself.

I think its better for you to buy in ebay, if you have discount coupon it helps. I have seen these H4 osram bulbs in Honda car Showrooms in bangalore, he told me price as Rs 900. I feel you will get it in any good car showrooms in delhi.

Not sure about Avenger, it will work if it fully DC type, I installed Osram NB in my FZ and i am satisfied with it.
