If any.. it would be same with Halogen as well.

i didnot understand. whether you want to say there would be problem or not, pls say clearly.

i had no battery problems with 55w\60w philips extreme power bulbs i used them for 2-3hours continuously

      • Dual HID ( HIGH + Low HID ) on FZ16

        Guys

        Last week installed a HI / LOW 4300k H4 hid on shark80s FZ16 ( Roshan )

The HID is just mind blowing .

        Low beam - 1 filament
        High beam - 2 filaments

Check the bulb it requires 2 ballasts . Its expensive but its worth it.

Roshan please do leave your comments

I could manage to get only one pic right . Will post some more pics later once roshan sets the beam right as per his requirement.

The R15 has a 3.5 amp battery and i use 2 hids and never faced a battery drain

The FZ16 has a 5 amp battery if i am not mistaken.
Till date touch wood the fz has not had any battery drain issues .

Is the second ballast 35W too? Means, in high beam, load is 70W?

yes both are 35w HIDs. Current setup is high one filament and low 2 filaments this is going to be changed to one filament for high and one for low. both the filaments when they are "ON" they are too bright

Ok, understandably and the pic given above is of the single or double filament?

                        • Thought so, looks bright and clear! But, I do have my doubt on anyone running 70W load though.

Please PM me the cost though. The double filament one.

MY R15 runs 2 HIDs and there are a few members like Aparijit and Santoosh who also run two ballasts 35w x 2 on the R15 and i never heard of any complaints by them. And i guess its been some 6-8 months since they are using it .

That's because R15 in stock, operate 2X35W Halogens, putting in 2 HIDs will not make a difference to it, other than initial current drain.

R15 stock has two halogens which operate alternatively i.e. if one is on the other is off, one is for high beam and other is for low beam, in a stock R15 company doesnot provides provision for both the halogens ON at same time AFAIK, i am telling this from my limited knoweldge

but i have seen many R15 (this days almost all of them in my city), who do mods of running both halogens at same time with out any battery draining i donot know HOW??
