BUT On open roads.. i've wacked till 130 on speedo. and every day on NH45 i average 90-110 and if i put my finger in the silencer my finger comes out clean..

The engine is a gem.. Mine is 5 clutch plate model Mfgd 2003 ( first batch). its stock to the bone..

Don't know if A80's can take that kinda abuse cos i haven't ridden. A180 users please comment

And, about how much abuse it can take, I want you to know that RTR is the only Indian bike which doesn't sport a RevLimiter. That, I think, is more than enough to prove the confidence of TVS engineers about the robustness of the engine. Also, even Joel, who's the race engineer of the ONLY INDIAN TEAM MANAGED TO GO TO MOTOGP, says that RTR has a huge scope of modifications to the engine as it is damn robust and can take loads of abuse.

ZMA is surely a gem of a machine, no doubt. But even RTR is no less when it comes to take the abuse
These two post have really created more confusions for the thread starter.
Both are great,go and buy both A180 and ZMA..BTW,when are you gettig your bike?

I just told what is best of my knowledge with no biased thinking.

I love both ZMA and RTR. If you are getting the machine mainly for touring purposes, then go for ZMA, it's surely a deserving one.

And, if you have considerable amount of city riding, then go for RTR. Don't worry about its touring ability. It can do that nicely too. :P

I agree with Garry, the Ultimate choice must be based on the requirements.

If you are young and sportif and going to college and running on pocket money and jumping homie's homes frequently via cities and traffic book A180..

if you more poised gentle man who loves to take a quiet ride by the beach or to do another Great indian trip Zma is your choice

if you say "my requirement is right between the both" go for A180 cos it offers both excitement in traffic and in highways(but much high revving which can be cancelled off if your helmet has thick walls). If you have the moneys try to get a good Sec hand Zma and have it for touring and long rides

or u might reverse above and get a sec hand a180(which i feel would be bad)

Form your posts i feel u would enjoy a A180 better than a Zma. i am a Zma owner myself but trust me you wont go wrong with both of them.

A180 is more fun..I am telling this cos either my Handling ability in traffic is bad or its a not so traffic friendly bike. either ways A180 is made for chop chop and has a good top end..

70@zma = feels lazy and stable like a boat on a rough sea.
70@a180= feels more energetic and the bike is more alive..cos of rev and cos of the flickabilty.

hope i helped you.. instead of confusing you ..

            • Apache will suit you better..and now it's with abs. your confusion period should be over after A180 with ABS launched!
ZMR is quite bulky in city road.

If not other's time, you've seriously wasted & I'm wasting my time on this pointless thread leading to a destiny "No-Where" inspite of so...much of gyaan given by senior members as well as myself. Btw. as you don't care about me posting here, i can't waste my time for some one who doesn't value comments. Goodbye..!

Krish1417:- I don't see any wrong in putting a question to you as to what are you plans. Sorry, some might take look time to decide some very short notice.

In your case, this thread has been in discussion for quite sometime. Is that you have some personal difficulty in taking decision or is that waiting for the right time.

Your response to Dual Disc shows your immaturity and arrogance which members will boo at you. If you want to get your point discussed would request you to maintain some decorum and some etiquette.

Whether your purpose of opening this thread had made any sense to you or not, I've decided to get a ZMA. In a way should thank you.

Is white color appealing? I saw two bikes arrived in the showroom nearby, a black and a white. Though the godown was packed with other HH products, could only get a glimpse of ZMA-R white parked next to ZMR also in white in poor lighting. (Well, the showroom OFFICERS politely indicated that they received only few bikes of pending orders from this year beginning.)

Somehow, it's my superstitious that white would fade and need to be maintained else, would not even worth to look at. I shall take the decision on the color shortly after getting through with my decision.

Again, I'm only half way through on the decision and still a long way. My purchase and final decision will depend on the reviews from our beloved owners/seniors of this xbhp.

Why this big detailed thoughts put out here is that, I don't frequently change bikes. I always wanted to take some money's worth while investing in.

I've already got enough pointers about the bikes (thanks to you guys).

So far, my wants in terms of touring capability, reliable engine and riding comfort which has been tried and tested by owners have given me a satisfaction.
