Haven't we gone through this already? If I wanted a mileage ride, I would have never went above 150cc or even 125. Mileage doesn't matter. And those 40~50 are somewhat exaggerated. Other than the 30 odd km I ride to the college that too on the weekdays alone, I wouldn't be going above that. Maybe sometime, once in a while during weekend rides or going to native places, I might travel more.Originally posted by somen1984 View PostThanks!@Ezil: for 40-50kms daily you need some better comfort bike with some average mileage atleast close to 35-40kmpl. So choose accordinly Else would have to refill it daily!2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

40-50kms dailyfrom your post... what made me confused ...ROFL...OK so you have only two options one is Duke 390 and Ninja 300.I guess Duke 390 would be less than 4L for sure but Ninja 300 I doubt. because previous Ninja 250 was approx 3.3 L so new with 50cc extra and cosmetic changes would cost close to 4L or little more to it. But ABS model would be surely over that.Ninja has confirm about coming to India soon, had spoken to Probiking few weeks back. But Duke390 is something dicy... he don't speak on this!!Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostHaven't we gone through this already? The 2013 version of N650 has ABS option available. Don't know if it is coming to India. Other than that the bike is similar to 2012 version.Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostI have a question. Does the N650R come with an ABS version?Very True- "Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity."
I like- "Bikes are not supposed to be a rational decision. If you can park it and walk away without looking back to admire it, you got the wrong one."

Ezil,Originally posted by Ezilkannan View PostThe Ninja 650R has a smaller tank compared to the 300 right? I'm worried about the range of the 650. Hmm..
The 2012 650 has a 16 L tank, usable fuel is around 12 ltrs, after which I refuel because I am paranoid about the fuel level. I get around 23 kmpl with very spirited riding, so worst case range is 240 kms, which can be stretched out by 35kms more, with sensible riding. A fuel break every 240kms doesn't sound too bad right? Think about it, 200 kms on our highways/smaller roads translates to >2.5 hours of riding time, after which you start looking for a fuel bunk to refuel, perhaps get a bite to eat, or a chai/bio-break. I doubt anybody needs more range out of any bike.Four strokes move my body, two strokes move my soul.

I'm thinking about picking the Blue one. But I wish they'd released it in the Green shade.
EDIT: Just came to know that the Canadian 2013 N650 ABS come in green shades. I hope they release it with the green shade when/if it comes to India in 2013. I'm currently more inclined to the 650 as it is torquier than the 300. I'm worried that I may experience low end torque issues with the 300.Last edited by Ezilkannan; 04-13-2013, 12:44 AM.2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300

Duke 390 or CBR 250R
Ok, its been a very long time since I updated this thread, now after thinking for quite a while, I have narrowed down my options to these 2
1. Duke 390 ABS
2. CBR 250R C ABS
The CBR is around that 2L figure while the D390 should be in and around 2~2.5L, I would like to know whether it is really worth to go for the CBR which I feel is a bit overpriced right now. Is there any reason at all to pick the CBR now except for touring?2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300
