what was that brass tube like thing on the side circled on red.

is it fuel line? i was hoping 2t oil supply earlier

No rear Brakes
how come buddy....think you have to refresh your memories

I said there is no clutch lever/rear brake because in an automatic the left side lever normally is the rear brake, but the Yamaha i rode, its a blank at the left side lever and Sure it has a rear brake ... its a right foot operated one.

Yes ,the one you have circled in RED is a "make shift fuel tap arrangement", made against the Rajdoot tap which was fitted earlier by the previous owner, thanks for the R.Doot Tap it was puking petrol like a "Corporation water tap"(Even this might be one of the reasons for the previous owner to get rid of this Expensive bike)
Pearl Yamaha has Fuel outlet at the bottom most VERTICAL wall of the Tank..so the outlet tap is suppose to be like this>>>

These type of Taps was the order of the Pearls which came initially ( note the Flanged portion like RD)
but later the Tank outlet hole was a 1/2" NPT threaded , to hold the threaded end Taps, but fuel out let line was exactly 90 degrees to the outlet of the tank (

Hope 'am not confusing!!)
Even the above O.E.tap was sourced by one of our friend abroad...but as it is flanged one.....so thought of going DESI way>>> (

mind Desi way is always Classic way!!)>>

That was the one you have marked in RED

Now found a Tap to suit look like the stock part..sorry forgot, belongs to some 150cc latest 4 strokes>>

Here you go ...have this Desi product (classic) for spotting that as a FUEL line

Yes Buddy...plenty to be revealed about Pearl, for sure we need to clear of certain myths about Pearl Yamaha & M50 / M80, ...even among real bike enthusiasts

1} Yamaha R1 ( 2008)------------> belongs to my friend Venkat from Salem / as our student buddies was keen on displaying a " Super bike" along with my Oldies.
2} Triumph 3T Deluxe twin /1949----->belongs to another petrosexual
Mr.Pratap Henry, it came with his James ML( which I restored for him now, leaving my James at garage)
3} Even my RD 350 was rested at garage, instead Mr.Arvind Sangameswaran's beautiful RD was displayed
My idea was to involve youngsters into this kind of activities..

As most of you aware of..now and then used to restore some bikes for our Friends..mostly will be big bikes ( this big bike includes Girish's ATLASOLEX.also..so it is to be the word BIG taken . . . otherwise

)

lives near my garage at posh apartments!!
Ever since we got introduced at 2007, our friendship got firm.
When the whole Germany went cloud9 at 11-11-2011, with their "Hat Carnival", Mr Armin to organized a " Hat Festival celebrations" at his residence on 1ith November 2011
Some pics>> ( not to forget every invitee is suppose to wear a Head gear in the carnival..every one had their own colorful HG, where I settled with south Indian Mundoo ..a make shift HG with a Dothi)

11 -11-2011, we enjoyed the Hat festival!!
Finally this Bullet freak,already has a STD500 Bull & a diesel Tarus apart from his 4 wheelers, suddenly announced that my Indian friend Muthu will get a MINI BULLET at least before November 2012, in front of the exited Indo-German crowd & lord " Anantha ganesha">

Hence no other go..promised to source one at the earliest...after praying the ancient Gods

But I thought Mr.Huck will not accept this......but when he saw those baskets and said...GOOD!!!...So when are you going to start restoring my MINI Bull??

P.S. Do i see a Shogun back there??. Is this the same Mini that you've restored back in 2009 or a totally different one Anna?

See, this is the problem if you've got too many bikes with you....It's very hard in identifying anna..Anyways, will put a one day complete visit this week to know more about everything...
