small trace of oil leaks found...and can also feel the expansion of push rod , tappet gap to adjusted( gap must be increased to an extent of 10/1000 th of an inch or even more till the run -in period)

Got no words to honour the efforts(brains & hands, time & money..all) gone into this build . Those are good pics you could have posted in bigger sizes that we get to see details. Once fully finished i hope you get those RIOT Engine chaps to do a feature, theirs on Norton was a good read.

Frank being a Yamaha Fan Boy, it is unbelievable that you never knew much about this Toro Jazz ( not to forget TJ moped was made & marketed by Escorts India.....the guys who gave us the Legendary RX)
Let me clear of a fact 'am bit sure of about this Moped...it is Toro Jazz
and there is no "&"in between
...hmm! had a doubt that these Escorts India guys took things for granted....and did nothing to promote this versatile Moped...a couple of years before , nearly 6 Jazz new unsold Mopeds was in the stock, though the already shut down retail outlet guys were ready to sell for half the invoice price...but No invoice could be raised...hence couldn't be registered..ultimately it will be illegal....hence dropped the idea of picking one (also No space @ my garage!!)
I can see few TJ mopeds at southern districts of Tamil Nadu & some parts of Haryana
I was told that this TJ was a Yamaha's design, not sure though!! ( but have faint memories about the Bore of this TJ...it reminds me a miniature of Banshee Cylinder!!( think had 3 auxiliary ports to the transfer ports)
This was the first moped( should I say India's first..) to have a " factory built EXHAUST expansion Chamber" as a stock part, even before Hero Puch!!(particular models only)

Yes, even this Rosa was there available in that lot(6 mopeds), it even had a Wire knitted Utility box just under the Head Light,it came as a standard accessory I guess..
Even they had few extra such boxes, but as per their system's list price it was nearly 1/3 rd the Moped's price(after 50% discount)
Some time before , even a guy offered these Escorts's Mopeds for decent price.. again due to lack of space @ my garage....it was turned down!!
BTW, any idea about 30cc Miniped from MAJESTIC AUTOS.{ Hero Majestic group}...any body aware of such machines???

No.. i have seen only Hero Majestic's Ankur petrol tank on tublar chassis like mofa, and the one with 19" wheel hero panther..

Pedalling Mode in Sportif!!

Yes Kick start, Electric Start & also The SPORTIF has been provided with a device that enables you to use it as a bicycle, under certain circumstances(like an empty fuel tank) you may have to carry on by pedaling without cranking the engine .

A push button is there near the kicker side, which enables to switch to Pedaling Mode. this operation can be performed by using the Ignition Key as a screw driver!! ( typical simple French Engineering.a.int it)
