    The same cycle mode was there in MOFA, if i am not wrong. There was a knob which when pulled out, will be used as a cycle. It was there neat the pedals.

        To hell with those KPN Speed cargo guys....in spite of abnormal delay in shipping our Srini's parcel containing a Mofa Flywheel magneto assy....they almost made him think about MOFA !!Mofa!! Mofa!! for past one week.

        @ Srini: Jokes apart, not only Mofa, Even bigger (50cc) machines like Suvega, LUNA & many other Mopeds of that Period had this " Switch to Bicycle" mode

        But bit special about this French beauty(SPORTIF) is, it had kick starter, unlike other above mentioned Mopeds, who had Pedal start set up, whose construction can be easily understood..just disengaging the pedal crank to that of the engine crank, by operating a knob ....
        But Sportif has Electric start, Kick start & a optional Pedal cum Bicycle mode..wait for the operational pics

                        you are really tempting me! did you really mean it?
                        I really want to, but have never restored a bike. Dont know how hard it is
                        Is it India's first moped? how old is she? If shes is so special, I may take it serious, with the help of you guys.
                        Do i need the RC and other documents to keep the bike with me as a part of collection? Unless i use it on road is it a problem?

                            Thanks for the correction.

                            Regarding that Suvega:::>
                            Age of the moped & its paper status, you are suppose to ask the seller
                            As for as sub 50 cc machines, at Tamil Nadu, they are tax exempted from 1992 onwards, if tax is paid up to '92, you can get that " tax exempted seal" endorsed in that RC book..that's all.

                            Restoration: It all depends on the beholder
                            If you are intersted...just try...you can do it!!
                            Cheers
