Xbhp Weekly G2G

Hello all,

This week's G2G is shifted to

Day and date - Friday - 24-2-2012

Venue - Not decided

Time - 8pm onwards


There is a twitch in this week's G2G... Me and Rohit will be zeroing on the final location by Thursday max...

Last time as per Inder Paaji's request we kept the G2G on Nagar Road...

This time we have shortlisted two areas where it will likely be held...

1) Akurdi-Pimpri Chinchwad-Dehu rd (Maxed out till toll naka).
2) Swargate-Hadapsar-Magarpatta city.

These are the two locations where the G2G will be held.
Please come up with restaurant options located on these two belts, Should be price friendly and help in accommodating gears.

Slowly we are covering the entire pune block as some members find it difficult to come for usual g2g as the locations is far...

So this time rack your brains and come up with options that can help in getting the location confirmed...

Members residing in these areas please pour in suggestions...

Will be a dinner g2g.

(Once the location is confirmed the Xbhp Pune google sms channel will be tapped)

EDIT- Out of these two locations, the one which is remaining will be the next area for conducting this G2G which will happen around same time of next month.

Iam quite surprised to see that there are no replies from the members who reside in these two areas...

BTW we have a back up plan if these two don't work out...

Hey I do stay in the swargate-Hadapsar area (right in between) . But I havent found a good venue for our g2g. whenever I go out we always end up in either Koregaon park (pizzahut,subway etc) or deccan. Honestly I dont have a comprehensive idea about places in KP or Magarpatta. I will still check nearby places and post if i find a suitable one by tomorrow.

How about one at baba ramdev ka dhaba nigdi . . I know you would be quiet furious considering the parathas you had last time .. Still giving it a thought . . Else we also have a dhaba G2G some place like mini punjab. Though its not exactly a dhaba but still . . I have seen XBHPians travel all the way from magarpatta till this place late night at 2 or 3

For the people who don't, it is Bhajan Singh da Dhaba @ Dehu Road toll naka.

P.S.: I will not go to any G2G venue if it is <10km from my place. So no Roopali, and no Grubshup

Nah the place sucks...
Chuck the amount being a bit high, there isnt ne place to keep the gears or even accomodate members... And the taste, ohh man Tel ka bhandar

Any other place, a lil ahead till toll naka would do too.

@ ANANT - Yes, this is a good option and it will be considered... The other day i told Rohit the same and i think apna Shrinath Bhai is also eyeing on this G2G venue (since it considers highway and is far from traffic).

I won't be able to make it to this g2g, so keeping mum.

BTW "Dhuan" just after Akurdi chowk is one nice place to hang out. Open terrace, veg-non-veg and hukkah (alcohol is not served there). Been there once. Good ambience. Lotta place to keep our riding gears and parking space along the road. If you can tell me an approx count of bikers attending the g2g, I can go and have a talk with the owner/receptionist.

Hi,one of our members has proposed a dinner plan. His frnd owns a cafe near akurdi station,so the plan is , meet at the akurdi cafe 8 pm hang out there and leave for dinner by 9.3 to a dhaba named golden palm half a km away.
So what u say?

Golden Palm is too crowded on most weekends.. Food though is decent.

Ah finally a G2G in my area. Looking fwd to meet folks after a long time .By the way bhajan singh ka dhaba is also a good choice as said by Antz. Antz ka choice mere samne kabhi fail nahi hua hai ab tak , if that place is little less crowded so that we can enjoy our food and at the same time the bakar .. Decide kara rohit bhau .. Laukar ..

Golden Palm is too crowded on most weekends.. Food though is decent.

If we can book in advance then it might work out good.
Also, sounds ok for the members residing on that belt (Akurdi, Pimpri, Chinchwad) a little far for dehu rd but way to far for Sinhagad Rd "member" but chalta hai, iam looking for the ride back home on empty streets.

Ho re, the work is going on, by today eve it will be confirmed.

BTW is the other side of town members sleeping, i can see major activity going on this old mumbai highway members only...

I found a new Weekly G2G location. Its subway baner, near pashan sus link road...Lots of tables in the outer section and awesome food. Price is also decent enough and affordable...
65rs veg sub - 6 inch
75rs nonveg sub - 6 inch

Rest orders are bit over priced, 130 and 140.
We are just sorting out to keep this location as Aundh and other members residing close by can join here...

Mostly this venue will be included in our weekly G2G's by next month onwards...
Talks with rohit are in pipeline for venue.

Bhajan singh ka dhaba and Subway at baner opposite Symantec and aundh one both sounds good, also there is a chocolate factory opened up in balewadi and has decent place and tables to sit outside, so we can use that place too as our G2G.

It has good enough parking space for 30-40 odd bikes.

EDIT : Eshan - i think aundh subway has very less tables to accommodate people so i doubt about keeping our gears , Baner subway has good space.
