It was fun, informative and a good learning experience as well. We can obviously have a discussions G2G at some place in the city but i would love to learn while on a ride so that i can apply the gyan immediately instead of just thinking about what i learned. This weekend i'l be riding to Lavasa, mostly on Saturday to beat the rush, and will put this view of mine into practice. Hope some of you tag along to teach me and also, learn from me if u like.
    Ciao.
agreed with you buddy... those were really some educative sessions. I wish we sincerely start that again... I dont know when will I be able to join it, but still lets get it rolling.....

In weekdays g2gs we can discuss things which dont need you to ride a bike to understand them.... like how a engine works... what are the things mentioned in the specsheets ( I am not ashamed to say that i dont understand it)....

TOUROGRAPHY : Read my other blogs here

Its not that Number of posts that matters, its the number of Kilometers that does and how you do those kms that matters....

      • Yellow guys, I am posting on Xbhp after quite a long time.
Although I am not quite a regular with the Xbhp rides, I do meet you guys at the Moto Cafe quite oftenly.
I would just like to say that Vishwas and the other members have made quite a good point about the G2G's being more informative.

Basically, I enjoyed the G2g's that I attended, I feel it is good that all you guys discuss on different topics , and not just talk about biking and stuff. But what I feel (This is strictly my own point of view, so I am open for disagreement, and I certainly dont mean to contradict anyone), is that many of the riders possibly , lack the basic technical knowledge about a motorcycle. For example,
        1) if a bike does not start, what is the 1st thing one should check for, before going to a garage.
        2) Which Basic tools to carry on a ride.
        3) How to check whether a sparkplug is working or not
        4) How to remove the wheel
        5) How to change a light bulb
        6) How and when to change oil, or lubricate the chain drive.
        7) Air filter cleaning, if possible Carburetor cleaning.

I know these are very Basic tasks, and maybe most of you guys already know about them, but the thing is , many newly joined people might not.
I have seen people panic on rides due to such minor problems.
My point is, people should be given sufficient knowledge about their bikes before they can start joining rides.

Just as a suggestion, I would like to add, If anyone can score a workshop manual of a pulsar, or a cbz or a bullet or any of the bikes normally used by our fellow members, you could give soft copies or printouts to everyone.
This combined with the technical information given by our experienced members, will help every one, along with the new members.

To conclude, I will be privileged if I could be of any assistance regarding giving any kind of Bike related information or help in any sort of way for providing technical information to the riders on the G2gs.

I will see you guys on the next G2g. Cheers!!

If planning to go to Bajaj factory then it will be 30kms. not less. U can either take a rick (Not sure if they will leave any money on you after the ride), a prepaid cab (charges Rs 500 for Akurdi) or u can take a bus (not recommended if carrying a lot of luggage).
