  • actually rohit sir just told me that he lives in bhugaon, that is enroute lavasa.
any chances of a solo ride are bleak due to restrictions from mom and dad, so if i have some company then i would be borrowing gear from rohit sir on the way.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

Ok then I will disagree with you. How can I know what vehicles you use better than you? After all you are "Senior Member" and I am "Junior NOOB".

Hey guys it was nice to meet you all in person at G2G
Further, I am planning my first long solo ride to ahmedabad, so what points do I need to keep in mind ?
I know its a vague or say very broad question, but can we start with what important things I should get bike checked for (its pulsar 180..and yes it does go beyond 70-80 ) and some essential things I should be carrying.

@ Antique Blue- 70, 80 Huh?? Will see you when the carb goes wet.

                        1) Make sure you have all the gear ready with you and is in good condition. Straps and guards should not be damaged. Wash them if they are textile before the ride if required.
                        2) Make sure you have slept properly and have attended nature calls.
                        3) Eat before the ride so that you dont have frequent stops for churning.
                        4) Keep your bike in top condition, dont service it one day before the ride. This is coz if there is any problem after the service it will reflect during your ride so keep some levy period in seeing how the bike performs after a service. Make sure an oil change was in the menu.
                        5) Find out about the route more, take down important or emergency numbers. Make sure you know where to take a left and when a right.
                        6) I follow this practice, I inform a member from the forum about my whereabouts during the journey. You can choose to inform a member where have you have reached and status on the journey.
                        7) Stay focused on the road, if you think you have had enough of tarmac, REST. Take frequent breaks, there is no hurry and no competition going on where babes in bikinis are going to cheer you after completing the ride in time.
                        8) Carry some nutrition bars if required and ample of water.

Thats all i can think of right now, if i have missed something please add up.

                        @ Sumit, Sidbp and others.
Ill be leaving for a carb alteration in about an hour and half from now. Testing on this carb will be done today itself, If it requires a overall change (Replacement) then that should happen today evening.... If all goes well expect me for this ride too....
Will post here by tonight with updated details.

One piece of advice tax free since its year end.... Its Amby Valley, if you wish to go here make sure there is one senior member along for this ride who knows the route in and out... You might know it back blinded too but please ensure there is a experienced rider along. And please keep the Ride Guidelines ready and post it here (Has been decided in last to last g2g, incase you have missed out cz checking firing of SBK's & Puny Austrians, Phone Calls or out due to work)

@Eshaan the slipping and sliding happening on my bike was due to loose rear suspension. It has been rectified
