this video has special meaning for me too...
i was not born deaf, but fate has, over the years... made me loose 80% of my hearing ability...
fortunately, my son is not ashamed of his dad being a handicap just yet...
i hope & pray to the lord that i always remain someone whom my son looks up to & not someone whom he will look down on... a tall task indeed!

Damn, it literally brought tears in my eyes, and Im sure, with your parenting, your son will always look up to you. And I was just thinking about a kwanja and saw this post which includes father-son relation, and suddenly an awesome thought struck me, guys like me die to get a kwanja at the age of 21-22 etc and your son will have a kwanja to ride when he will get his driving license, and if he has a learner's license, you will actually put that red 'L' on your N650? Oh and I forgot, there maybe 5-6 lac kms on the odo when your son will get a license na. Jokes apart, as a biker, he is gonna have an awesome legacy to lead. wow.

@RyderPavan : yeah... can only imagine what natural grandeur it wud have been out there... fotos bhi daalega yah sirf baatein he karte rahega

i am thinking of riding upto wadkhal via the palm-beach road next sat / sun - just a breakfast ride types.
the route is roughly made of concrete / cement straight road: palm beach road > ulwe > jawle padeghar > jambhulpada > kauli > chirner > dighati > hamarapur > chinchghar > vadkhal > & back
i want to revisit that route for a quick exit / alternative route for the conventional mumbai > pen > vadkhal route - had done it 2 yrs back - hear that its transformed into a very good road now.
also got sms's from 4~5 friends asking me to join them yesterday / today... baarish mein g**nd toh fatti hain lekin saala ghar mein baithke bhi pakk-jata hoon!
anybody can spare his raincoat next weekend? yah duckback khareedna padega?

@viks : yeah man... that video is VERY real & touching... direct dil-se direct dil-mein. and yes, u r right about the junior's part. he keeps saying "baba, he bagh, ata maazhe paay khaali pochtat" - meaning "dad, just check this out.., my feet already touch the ground now [while he is astride avenger in riding seat]" - saala 10 y.o. hain aur avenger chalane ki soch raha hain... mere pet par laath marega

Lol. I remembered my childhood. The same words but the only difference was the ride, it was a hero honda cd 100. Doing pull ups everyday to quickly increase my height. And started stealing the keys and riding when i was 11. Dad came to know about it when i was 13. Then he said "now i understand, how the petrol used to get depleted quickly, and i thought it was the bike giving a bad FE"
Used to drive my bike to school with dad as pillion and he used to take it back home. People used to envy me
And yeah, i would like to meet him some day, and once he learns riding im gonna spoil your kid by teaching him some one wheeled fun
