Dates for the G2G!

Ok guys, in October'2010, we have got 5 Sundays/weekends. The first Sunday or the first weekend is ruled out because of the possible office work pressure and the third Sunday is Vijaya Dasami/Navratri - so, forget about it. Now, the second, fourth and fifth Sunday is coming into consideration.

So, the options are:
A: 8th, 9th & 10th. (Remember, 8th is Mahalaya - the dates are before Puja)
B: 22nd, 23rd & 24th (After Puja)
C: 29th, 30th & 31st (Last week of the month - that means empty pocket)

Now what say guys. We need to come to any conclusion within 19th(coming Sunday) and within this dates we have to finalize other things also.

I personally vote for A.

Please take note--

You need two days to ride to and fro from Calcutta/Kolkata to Siliguri.

Do you think one day would be sufficient to go to hills and enjoy the vistas when you would start late the next morning as you would be dead tired post Calcutta-Siliguri ride. The ride would be spanning over 650kms over not so very good roads.

I would say, start on 8th. Reach Siliguri, take rest and I am sure no one would be awake till 8am(the next day) and it will take good 1-2 hours to be good to go.

Do you think mere 1-2 hours would be enough for meet, photography, having awesome hill food? No.

I would say, stop on the 2nd day up in the hills, take a night-stay. It shall be a good chat-up session with bon-fires, barbecue etc. Morning can be used for photography and exploring around the beautiful hills.

Post a sumptuous lunch on 3rd day, we can ride back to Siliguri and deaparture for respective places early next morning, that is the 4th day.

In short, if the ride isn't for 4 days, you shall miss a lot, remain fatigued and it won't do much good.

SORRY OFF TOPIC BUT I THINK I SHOULD INFORM EVERYONE ABOUT THIS

Guys i have hit a problem which i think all 220 owners should be aware of as it could be life threatening..my left handle bar is wobbling like hell and has become so loose that if i put pressure on it while riding it will come out..i was lucky to dicover it while i was parking my bike..imagine if i was doing 80k/hr or say 100ks/hr and the handle had come out..has anyone faced this problem..

I guess u need to tightened the nuts holding the handle bars. just check on it.

the black part of the handle bar which is fixed with bolts is fine..the silver bar which enters the hollow part of the balck part has come out from that slot..

boss rush to pbk svc asap!! they will replace it under warrenty as in fwe lots of 220's this prob exist but bajaj has rectified it and if you show it to svc they will fix that and if they are not willing to help you out then simply send a mail to bajaj, believe it will work

I would opt for 8th, 9th & 10th because on the 23rd is my Dad's birthday so have to be home and ontop of that the boarding kids are coming on the 24th and 29th till 31st will not be possible. lets come up with good dates where all can participate.
