Accident

Friends,

Yesterday while returning home from office around 7:45 PM had a terrible accident. It happened on Anwar Shah connector near GUITARFREAKs home.

A man around 55 years cycled from a bylane straight into the middle of the road with happy go around attitude without looking anywhere. I could not presume that and hit him bang on. Honked and used my dipper like MAD.

The man fell down and was hurt badly. Felt sorry for him. My bike and myself are absolutely lucky to be saved. God saved me. This was absolutely crazy.

The accident was deadly terrible but everyone was somehow managed to survive. I was riding @ 60kmph-65kmph, even applied BRAKES but everything just happened in a moment. Fell on the right side.

Going to service centre now to check up things.

@satyajitRC: Kolkata is full of stupid people,jaywalkers and irresponsible civic bodies.I too skidded my bike at Park Circus Seven point last Wednesday @55-60kmph.I made out totally unhurt,but the bike lost its stock horns,one RVM and a bit of paint off the fairing.It was due to buddhijibi publics jumping in front of my bike when they saw traffic coming in and me going leftwards to find KMC dug ditch with sand and gravels on the main road !!!!.However replaced the broken parts except the fairing.Riding in Kolkata nowadays means greeting nightmare.So don't worry,you and me in same boat.But I would be in the G2G.

@Dhruba:Come to the G2G,there would be a number of 220Fs and their owners,including pro ones like Jai and cool ones like Mandeep.Maybe they can help better.

@SVJ: Sagar....dont say its money crunch or something from home,its just a city G2G and go back home.Missing ya really.Attend if ya care.

@Satyajit: this kind of accident is so typical on our roads mate... I'm glad things didn't get much worse ...do take care...hope to see you tomorrow...

Guys, I was really looking forward to making it today but tore a ligament in my back today trying to lift some heavy furniture at home....

I'm bed ridden now...at least for a couple more days..

I went there at DLF bus stand today..

I reached at 6.15PM..

However I could not see any bike with xBHP logo or I could not spot those three guys I know by face, TheGuiterFreak (sayan R15) / Gibran (R16) / bappaditya (Hunk)..

I had the number of Bappaditya da and Sayan (R15).. I tried to call both, but both were unresponsive !!!

So I left at 7PM..

sorry mate, but i dont know you or any of the names you mentioned, neither i had any of your contact number..

I tried to inspect all the bikes which were parked (there were not many, today the bus stand was some what empty compare to other sundays) [:P] could not spot any xBHP logo either [:P],

I sat down infront of zakir bhai's shop [:P], bought a burger, chatted which few friends who were there (couple of RR guys) and came back at 7PM

I am really sorry Hunky. I was supposed to escort Hunky to DLF and introduce him to other members. But, very unfortunately I have got hurt in my left ankle. So, I was not able to come to the meet.

But I had a talk with Hunky regarding the route plan. He is having some very simple and effective plan in his mind.
@Hunky, please share your plan among the other members. We all are waiting to hear from you.

Jai bhai get well soon,I think its raining small disasters at Xbhp Kolkata,I feel you should become a very active member after you heal.It would really help.

Disasters that occurred,
1.Sourav crashed on his RTR,his RTR is now barely sane and rideable.He has broken his small finger of his right hand.
2.Myself crashed my bike ,escaped unhurt.Spoiled the new bike's paint
3.SatyajitRC crashes due to cyclist....well same things maybe.
3.Jai..........was doing some bed moving thing and he suffers a glitch
4.Bappaditya injured his legs,details unknown.

So after all these,I found
1.Srikanth-out of station
2.Ayaz-festive time hence busy
3.Shabaz-festive time hence busy
4.Gibran-festive time hence busy
5.Javed-maybe the same reason as above
6.Chris-terror-noticed him today afternoon,busy in some commitments
7.Mandeep-Absconding
8.Saikat and Arijit-communication gap.
9.SVJ and Dipanjan-well,one Sunday evening spent with bikes wont land you grounded for life
10.Guitarfreak-Rock-on
11.Sayan-maybe out of station on business accounts......

The G2G today did occur but without most of the members.
Today I met Avi and Dhruba for the first time.......cool guys,nice meeting them
Sunny Konkal and SatyajitRC were their true to their words ,I got late due some unforseen circumstances rising at my home.
Also Ajosro........whom we know as Metalhead_AJ,we chatted with him,as he came by to attend his Road Rollers group.

But the whole situation was far from deciding anyhting.
Come on Xbhpians,where are your passion and respect for bikes and biking ??? where did it all go???? wheres the enthu ????....
Or are we reducing to Bappa,Sunny and myself again ?????

People please list a time and a day when you would all be comfortable for a G2G.Everyone please come up with their own free time and lets decide when the next G2G should be held..............The more we are late here,the more unorganised grows our plans for Shillong G2G.
