@all: Today, we - Hunky and me took the Mandeep's P-220 out from Police. The matter was getting worse with Mandeep. Hunky smelled something fishy while talking with the authority today morning and immediately he came into action. Hunky managed to bring a lawyer to the police station and ultimately after a long drama, Mandeep got the key and collected the bike from the Police phari.
I came to know the story of the person who took Jai in his Maruti 800 and admitted him in the Hospital. His name is Rahul. I hope, soon Mandeep would be online and tell the story to you all. But I think, we should honor the person who took Jai under such circumstances and moved to Hospital. Hats off to you Rahul. We can plan to meet the guy someday and honor him.

came back from the cremation ground at 11pm, could not control my tears seeing him gone away like this. i miss you sooo so much bro, i promise we will ride together on the otherside someday.
take care of ur wife & child and come back soon, hoping to see... the baby jai soon ....

Ps: jai is has left us and gone and i am surprised that i still dont know how it happened, mach50 told me a different story and mandeep told me a different story. it's not like u guys are going to be sued or anything cause everybody knows the dangers of riding a two wheeler, we have lost a very close friend atleast we deserve to know how it all happened. All the xBhp oldies had come for the cremation and were surprised because jai had been through much worse roads at even higher speeds. eg. kolkata - purnia bihar in 23hrs (800kms+) so everyone really cant seem to understand that just a bad pothole can actually take jai away from us.
Please i literally beg you just tell us the truth how our friend died.

Neither mandeep nor Mach50 saw the accident happening..

Shubho (Red Swift) of RoadRoller saw the accident while he was returning from airport.. This is what shubho said..

Just before jatragachi signal, he spotted projector in his RVM, he looked out and found a a P220 over taking him at high speed (he was doing 70) as if shubho was stand still.. He looked forward and there was a bang, as he found the rider has the hit that ditch and launched out of the bike. Rider landed on his head, rolled over and stopped..

mandeep fell before him i think, as mandeep saw jai laying in road when he got up.. and mandeep called mach50 and call then came to "bappa and me"..

I have posted a picture of the place. we have taken the picture on sunday while returning from hospital..

Bro, Shubho is regular there at DLF bus stand after office hours, please have a chat with him.. he is the only one who saw it happening, he would be the best person to explain the matter, so if possible do have a chat with him..

I had already proposed for such a prayer meet for all us to attend. its quite a hard time but i would urge all of us to attend and suggest how, when and where...already got a suggestion from sayan to have it at the Bus stand........we can call Rahul and honor him there that day.

Don't worry Bappa we can understand your Situation, in fact everybody here is in same state of mind. So calm down relax, As you always are, All I can See in Gibrans Anger is Pain deep Inside...

lets keep these stuff Aside and lets all of us meet for the prayer, pay our friend a last Salute,

Gibran,I told you nothing about the details how Jai crashed,I just told you that he hit a ditch and crashed.You are lashing out at two guys who is finding it difficult to get over what happened to their friend out there......are you searching for stories in our shocked and grief stricken hearts???? No,we cant give you stories but vague recollections of what happened that night.Vague recollections I say because I am not using my bike for three days and haven't slept since Sunday,hope you are human enough to understand that brother.

This is what happened,
Just as our G2G was getting over with all plans finalised,Jai told me,"Mach lets go for a short ride",I was not ready for it,because it was already 8.30 and a Sunday night,gotta get-up early next day,wanted to get home.But since he was very close to me I asked everyone to go for ride.Bappa and Hunky would have that ride on their way home.Mandeep dint wanted to go,he was wearing his turban only,his Helmet had been taken away by someone.I asked him to not go for the ride,but Jai insisted it wont matter on such a short ride.Hence Mandeep too joined in.NS2115 had an important appointment to attend in my neighbourhood,I told him to go away,but he also told,"come on,we would just ride a short one and come back with you only",so he also joined in.Then we went for the ride.There was no head or tail of this pack.It was a free ride.There was no speeding above 90-95kmph.Jai,Hunky,Bappa,Sourav and myself all rode in harmony.
Then near Rajarhat City Centre we took right turn.Hunky and Bappa headed home towards Barasat,while Jai,Mandeep,NS and Myself turned towards our home.Near CC2,I asked Jai to take the lead so that we can ride now cruise comfortably.Jai told me to take the lead.....he would come up in second.So I rode off,but empty roads started seeing our speeds soon.Jai and Myself both wanted to do good corners.So we approached our first corner at 110kmph,Jai and myself side by side,I braked and took sharp right,Jai followed in.NS and Mandeep both were behind us.After the corner,both Jai and Myself slowed down.NS and Mandeep were allowed catch up.As soon as we were together again,I picked up speed,the road was literally traffic less.I pushed my bike over 120kmph,then I noticed a patch where it was all dark.Owing to my poor lighting,I slowed but by then I was in ditch.Hit it at 108kmph,my GSR jumped up,I stood on my footpegs but felt weightless and when the bike landed,I dint brake..........had let the GSR take its own course.The bike was continuing its run at over 95kmph,but I was shaken.So slowed down the cruise at 70-80kmph,by the time,I noticed NS by my side.So I thought JAI and Mandeep were behind me too.There were headlights in my RVMs but it was difficult to judge whose were those.Coz after our first corner,I noticed cars coming in too but behind us.So, I increased my speed again.Ended the stretch,turned left and was continuing through the detour really slow,NS passed by me asking,"where is Mandeep ???",my phone started ringing.I stopped,NS rode a a few yards further.It happened to be Mandeep's call,I received it......Mandeep told me"Accident hua hai,Jai Uth nehi raha hai !!!!"
I asked him,to be cool and get Jai up and I am heading back.I called NS and asked him to return.Then I sped off,through the One way detour,and headed to the ditch.Dark night half light street lights didn't help me,but kept speeding,but no sign of Mandeep or Jai.Then I stopped,allowed NS to catch up.He came by and told me of the ditch we encountered at 100+ speeds,he told me he suspected that spot.Called Mandepp again and asked NS to call Bappa.Mandepp told me,he was near a gadda,but there were so many gaddas in Rajarhat,so headed back to the worst gadda of the night I encountered,and I was speeding to reach there......hit the damn ditch again,this time at 106kmph,heard some one shouting MACHda MACHda,Swerved left looking at my RVM,braked.Bike stopped at some distance.Found it was Mandeep who was shouting,No sign of Jai.I came running to him.Mandeep said that he has boarded Jai on a car,to take him to the nearest best Hospital nearby......the Apollo Genegales.Mandeep looked so excited that I thought he was Ok.I asked him,lets follow the car then and told him to get on his bike.But then Mandeep too said that he has also crashed and then I noticed him,that he too was bleeding profusely.The man in the car called Mandeep constantly,as Apollo refused admittance,then he told us,that they were reaching AMRI.By the time,NS reached the place a Police Patrol stopped,a Tata Sumo.I asked the cops to help us,they stared at us,dumb struck.......two cars justed the braked and bumped into each other at the ditch again.They looked at me foolishly.I then told NS,to get two cops to ride the two bikes to safety and NS should see to the place they are taking the crashed bikes.The cops still gave us dumb suggestions,like "take the bikes with us to Police Station.reach hospital later".I gave a damn to their suggestions,asked Mandeep to get on my bike and headed Hospital,coz I knew by then,Hospitals wont take admittance without family and friends.When we were near Wipro building,the car called Mandeep again,AMRI has denied admittance,next stop is Columbus Asia.I then headed towards Columbus Asia and reached the hospital,just at the moment Jai was being taken out of the car on the stretcher.Along with the medics I got hold of Jai's stretcher.There he was all traumatised,they immediately brought out all equipments,breather,pulse rate computer,intravenous,oxygen and all.It dint worked.Then I was pushed out and they were continuing their treatment behind curtains,Jai was still unconcious.A hospital guy came up and told me to sign the admittance papers before they take Jai to ICU.I signed them,it was at the point I felt I need to reach his family members.So told the Doctor and reached Jai's pockets,got his mobile,it was broken......and switched off.Jai was taken to ICU.I switched the mobile on.First to call on the mobile was Aritra,Jai's wife,I dint knew her by then,but told her to ask Jai's family members to contact me on his mobile immediately,Jai has suffered a grave trauma.She started yelling and crying and cut the phone.Minutes later,as I was tending Mandeep asking about what is the condition of Jai,Jai's Dad called,he seemed confused over the details I gave him........by the time I was in no condition to think straight.I just gave him the location of the hospital and asked him to reach ASAP.He called me again,neither it was clear to me,what happened to Jai nor I was able to make it clear to him........Mandeep then told me,in his version what happened.He told me,Jai was at a distance behind Mandeep........Jai had dropped his speed,he was last one in the pack.
Mandeep was riding at around 65-70kmph because of low fuel.........at that speed he hit the ditch,his P220 became disbalanced and Mandeep did a braking,(I would say panic braking).The P220 skidded off carrying Mandeep with it on the left side.Mandeep recovered got up only to discover that Jai too had fallen to the same ditch.He didn't know how,as Jai was far behind him.He ran to the Jai,removed his helmet.........Jai remained still,eyes closed.Mandeep put water on his face but to no avail,he called me up out of panic.Then started calling out loud to cars passing by.Every vehicle slowed as they hit the ditch,but no one stopped,even after seeing someone lying out there.Except one Maruti 800,the good man and Mandeep along with few onlookers,got Jai into the car which then went off for Hospital.

Then later on,a the hospital authorities asked for what happened,Mandeep briefed them the same incident.Hats off to Mandeep to keep doing everything he could do to help,despite the severe flesh injuries that left no part of his body.......I know how much it pains,I also received similar injuries few years back.Mandeep was in a state of utter shock that night,he was only concerned about Jai......a person,he first met that day....................

Then family members of Jai reached the place.Mandeep's fiance and close friend along with me looked after him.Then after settling a safe place for the bikes at the police station,Hunky,On wheels,NS arrived.Guitarfreak too joined in.Mandeep was treated and heavily bandaged and relieved that night only.Myself and Bappa got him on the Ambulance which would take him home.

After this,everyone knows the rest.

So thats all that you might want to know Gibran bhai,after this write-up its difficult to explain you how I feel everytime I remember that night.

While on the other side the damned authority and Police of West Bengal is trying to make out a case.........hiding their negligence.
I have heard over phone that Mandeep was being charged with Dangerous driving and risking other's life when he went to get his bike from the Police Custody.The f**king Police are so f**ked up that they only want to feel money in their f**king pockets.Who would then give a damn about the ditch over which even four-wheelers lose control??? Who will report it to the PWD authorities???? Who ??? I ask who ????Why dint they cordon off the f**king ditch that night only ???why isnt the place around the ditch f**king lit??? why doesnt someone repair the street lights there ??? WTF is going on ???
Yesterday it was Jai,tomorrow,it would be me.............who the f**king cares about the ditch ????? huh ????


Jai,my friend,watch over me from the heavens,guide me............You and me,we knew how close we were,our brotherhood would remain.You were the best rider from Kolkata I had ever seen in my life,you built my confidence.Those rides at night on strand road and red road and our little city circuit,those sharp corners,those words..."Mach you are a gifted rider"I dont think,I would be able to get back anytime soon.Please guide me from beyond.........................Its not Goodbye,never.Just watch over me,dont leave me helpless.........................

Prayer Meet for Jay (tehbad1)

@ Dear all: Here is what I had in mind when I had proposed for the prayer meet in remembrance for our friend Jay.

Place: DLF Bus Stand or nearby it

Time: 10am, rev our respective rides together for say 3 times for 2secs each and proceed to burn candles at the accident site/ 6pm candlelight vigil for whatever time you guys suggest (a kind of silent protest against the road and traffic conditions)

Date and Day: To be decided unanimously by all.

Please note this is only a suggestion, those who would like to add something to it, you are most welcome, please guys respond.

Please do not blame each other

Guys its my ernest request not squabble amongst ourselves and blame each other at this moment of grief. Its the same dilemma faced by my honorable riders and not so known riders in our country in this respect, so its ultimately the problem as i had stated before, the vicious circle of bribery and bureaucracy in the government, civic officials and contractors who just lust for the piece of pie which is coming from our pockets as taxes. Taxes are not alone what we pay as a price but our lives daily, be it on any motor-vehicle. So, please keep it down and act responsibly and maturely.
