Beltala motor vehicle. It's near hazra. Better get the work done by yourself. I was asked 1.5k by an agent for smart card collection, which is free of cost.

Actually when I left Bangalore I did take the NOC from Bangalore RTO. So I can't decide what to do now? Just pay the road tax here in Kolkata? Or pay the road tax + register my bike here in any RTO.

P.S. After 1.5-2 years I will be shifting to my native New Delhi.

I would advise to get your bike registered in any of the RTO.

Very heartening to see the enthusiasm all around! I've not been able to join the group for the last couple of rides due to some personal issues and tragedies(as some of the xBhp members of Kolkata already know). And may miss some more in near future. But my wishes are with you. Keep the spirit on!

xBhp Kolkata Ride to Bankiput, West Bengal

The g2g for the month of November is scheduled for Sunday, 15th of November, 2015. Same day return. All are invited.

Destination : Bankiput, a pristine golden sand sea beach located in West Bengal, India.

Starting point : Vidyasagar Setu (for the Riders coming from South) and Dankuni toll (for the riders coming from north)
Both will merge at Kona Express - NH6 crossing(in front of Indian Oil Petrol Pump).
Starting time : 06:00 a.m. sharp. (Note, this is the starting time, so please reach at least 15 minutes in advance)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS : Please read, Specially if you're new to group riding.

1. Reach on time. Have your petrol filled and air pressure checked the previous day. Do not waste time in the morning, it's a long ride and we will try to be back asap so that we can avoid riding in the dark.
2. Carry a bottle of water.
3. Full pants, Shoes and full face helmets are mandatory. Other gear is optional.
4. Follow the lead. Stay in line and DO NOT OVERTAKE unnecessarily. This is very important. If your riding puts anyone else in the group in danger, you can ride alone and go home.
5. Ensure that your bike is serviced and in proper condition. A breakdown in the middle of nowhere will not be a pleasant experience.
6. Ensure that you've got your rear view mirrors installed. They are a vital part of the bike, and not just an ornament.
7. Ride at a safe, constant speed.
8. Discuss the hand signals at the starting point and use them in the ride. They make a huge difference.
9. Carry a spare clutch cable, throttle cable and gear lever if possible.

Hi Sudip, thanx for the invite. We would definitely love to visit your place in near future. Please guide us with the locations, roads, and the places that we can cover in minimum days possible and we will plan according to that.

I am basically from COOCH BEHAR. Though north bengal statred from MALDA most of the people have wrong idea that Siliguri is the North Bengal, that is not.
Here in Cooch behar district and Alipuduar and Jalpaiguri,Darjeeling we have some majestic places to visit.
Let me start from my own district.Cooch Behar.


Cooch Behar is a district under the Jalpaiguri Division of the state of West Bengal. Cooch Behar is located in the northeastern part of the state and bounded by the district of Jalpaiguri in the north, state of Assam in the east and by Bangladesh in the west as well as in the south. The district forms part of the Himalayan Terai of West Bengal
NH 31 has touched our city and the SH 12 is the heart of the city.

In English the district is named as Cooch Behar, whereas in Bengali it is known/named as KochBihar (pronounced as Coach-Bihar), which means the land through which the "Koch" Kings used to travel or roam about ("bihar"). In course of time, Cooch Behar has been transformed from a kingdom to a State and from a State to the present status of a district. Before 28th August 1949, Cooch Behar was a Princely State ruled by the king of Cooch Behar, who had been a feudatory ruler under British Government. By an agreement dated 28th August, 1949 the king of Cooch Behar ceded full and extensive authority, jurisdiction and power of the state to the Dominion Government of India. The transfer of administration of the state to the Govt. of India came into force on 12th September, 1949. Eventually, Cooch Behar was transferred and merged with the province of West Bengal on 19th January, 1950 and from that date Cooch Behar emerged as a new District in the administrative map of West Bengal.

Since it is princly state we have some magnificent architechtural structures out here.Though north bengal statred from MALDA and people think that Siliguri is the Last stopage of North Bengal, that is not.
Here in North Bengal, Cooch behar district and Alipuduar district and Jalpaiguri district are the major places to visit.

This Place is A place called 'SHAL-BAGAN'. A of garden of the SHAL trees, beside the Torsha river, just 1 KM away from the proper town.
