XBhp Kolkata Pre-Pujo Ride to Mahisadal Rajbari
The g2g for the month of October is scheduled for Sunday, 2nd of October, 2016.
Same day return. All are invited.
Destination : Mahishadal Rajbari and Haldia Marine Drive.
This popular Rajbari of West Bengal, has 16th Century remnants. It has an old palace and a new palace built during the 16th and 18th century. It has great historical significance too. It is a favorite spot for many movie makers.
Haldia Marine Drive is one of the magnificent places in West Bengal where one can enjoy sun set on the background of the giant ships floating across the coast. It is a tri-junction of famous Hooghly and Haldi River with the Bay of Bengal. Nearly 6 km long drive from Coast Guard Jetty to 3rd oil jetty point along the Haldia Township is a thoroughly satisfying journey for nature lovers.
Starting point : Kona Express - NH6 crossing (Anhurhati Checkpost Bus stand). https://goo.gl/rIODur
Starting time : 06:00 a.m. sharp. (Note, this is the starting time, so please reach at least 15 minutes in advance)
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS : Please read, Specially if you're new to group riding.
1. Reach on time. Have your petrol filled and air pressure checked the previous day. Do not waste time in the morning, it's a long ride and we will try to be back asap so that we can avoid riding in the dark.
2. Carry a bottle of water.
3. Full pants, Shoes and full face helmets are mandatory. Other gear is optional.
4. Follow the lead. Stay in line and DO NOT OVERTAKE unnecessarily. This is very important. If your riding puts anyone else in the group in danger, you can ride alone and go home.
5. Ensure that your bike is serviced and in proper condition. A breakdown in the middle of nowhere will not be a pleasant experience.
6. Ensure that you've got your rear view mirrors installed. They are a vital part of the bike, and not just an ornament.
7. Ride at a safe, constant speed.
8. Discuss the hand signals at the starting point and use them in the ride. They make a huge difference.
9. Carry a spare clutch cable, throttle cable and gear lever if possible.
and the most important of all - You must know how to Dab
otherwise please don't come.
Have fun. Take loads of pictures and share them here.
Cheers.

Re: The Official Kolkata Offline Meet(G2G) Thread
Hello everyone,
I have planned a ride to Sikkim from Kolkata in November end where I would be riding solo from Kolkata. Later, a group might join in a car from Siliguri. But, basically I am riding solo and want to be prepared that way.
Apart from my fully serviced P200NS, I am carrying some essentials including a puncture kit, some engine oil, extra clutch wire and some tools (basic 200NS tool set and Bosch Skil 30 Piece Screwdriverth-27th) ?
6. I know high altitude is a problem for Carb bikes like 200NS. Although, it will be tuned to the best possible setting, is it necessary to have it rejetted with a copper wire, before going to the Gurudongmar Altitude?
Since, I am a newbie to such long and high altitude rides, riding Solo on top of this is making me think so much. I know that I will go on this ride for sure. Just want to be prepared as much as possible and avoid odd circumstances.

Regarding the questions that you asked, i may suggest you to contact my friend ( http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/members/sumeet-singh.html )who did Sikkim last year on his NS200.

Hi brother, nice Vlog out there. Keep up the good work.Originally posted by kaushik12041985 View Post
Just one small suggestion. Do not use so large, bold and colorful fonts on the video, it distracts the viewers, keep it simple. Also try to keep the video limit within 5 minutes as you know in this busy world people really don't have much time to spend on a single video. Rather you can split it in two parts, that way it will be more interesting to look for the next part for any surprises.
Rest all are good. Good luck, keep riding, spread smile.
