I see few options for the coming G2G meeting destination. I'm already excited.

It would be great if all the 17 participants (per John's list from Chennai) gather for the coming G2G. It would be a wonderful ride with the gang chit chats and share some important information pertaining to this Yercaud G2G.

I'm sure Kiran by then would have a lot to share (also to collect $$) during the meet.

I don't know much locations Sri; as I said before, I like to make a long ride test & make myself comfortable, probably Vellore or Gingee. So if the G2G ride is short, I may have to become a disobedient member

If all are AOK with Vellore/Gingee, then we can quickly poll to choose from one of these for the sunday ride.

I'm fine with 'destination anywhere' !

You need the gloves, wind cheater/leather jackets for long drives, otherwise you're prone to get tired very soon.

@Kiran - This is what I'm expecting, why not plan something like this?

Hello Everyone!

I'm Devanathan AKA Deva, from Cuddalore but Now in T.Nagar. I'm a Systems admin at Exchanging, santhome. I'm more of a tourer and like going out on long rides.I own a HH Hunk '08 model and simply in love with it!

I might be joining Ragav as a Pillion on the Tristate G2G. Lets see how things work out.

Looking forward to meeting chennai Xbhpians this sunday.

^^^the road is good; I usually take NH205 as its easy for me. NH205 is nothing but CTH Road (Chennai-Padi-Ambattur-Thiruvallur)-Thiruthani-Renigunta-Tirumala.

The Tirupati ghat section is different from the rest; we don't have any oncoming traffic. You cannot expect the same scenario in the Yercaud ghat section.

One of the most important points to keep in mind is to give way for vehicles coming uphill. And be extra cautious and keep a watch for oncoming vehicles at every curve and hairpin bend. A truck or bus can render you with almost no road space.

Let the destination discussions be on. If a few feel that the destination is too far, we need to look at other options. Please note that we want all the confirmed participants on board this weekend.

Very very true & I'd experienced this. Driving at Madikeri & Tirupathi are two different experience as Madikeri is highly narrow roads with on coming traffic while Tirupathi is wide road & one way; while Yercaud is a mixture of both - slightly wider than Madikeri but less than Tirumala & at the same time not one way.

So I'm assuming that Sunday ride should be an one day event isn't it?
