Change in Location

Hi Bikers,

Change in job location always hurts. Yes, my office work location got changed to Bangalore city. Packed up all my belongings but leaving Chennai is really painful. I have been in Chennai for the past five years and will not miss you all and the fun-filled rides will continue forever. Thank you one and all for molding my riding skills and your biking love towards fellow bikers.

Hello all - Yuv and myself have planned for ten days road trip from coming weekend. Though few already know about this plan however, thought would let the group know this. We have received route plan from our experienced wanderers. But I'm sure we will try to stick to some plan at least. We were discussing AP or MH to ride, after rounds of discussion, I guess it is going to be AP.
It is a right time to take off from work but the major hurdle will be accommodation considering holiday season around. Let's see how it goes. I'm a newbie to the weeklong road trip and Yuv will be my Leader.

Did a small run to vedanthangal on sunday morning. Was pretty worth it. Anything above 8AM the place is crowded. I managed to reach there by 7AM.

I'm sorry guys for not keeping everyone updated about the up coming ride. Was struck in work and have a news here. I'm travelling to Bangalore for 3 weeks and will not be able to join for the ride . I would request some one else to pick the responsibility to go ahead with the planning and execution of the ride plan. Sorry for the trouble

Nishant, no worries. Though I might not make it, thought would share details to anyone voluterring to organize the Horsley Hills Ride in January 2013.
Please contact APTDC for accommodation and it's the only reort to my knowledge situated there. The room rates are nominal. The office is located in Burkit Road, T.Nagar where you will need to book the room in advance. (Remember being holiday season). They accept only cash. All the payments with respect to room booking is done is and you will only need to take the receipt to the resort. Also, they might ask nominal amount as caution deposit which will be returned during checkout. Check the room tarrif -> APTDC

I'm planning a ride to chikmangalur this weekend.
Since I'd be stopping overnight, I wanted to know about budget hotels/lodges etc.

Rates on the internet are as high as 2000 per person per night and this is a deal breaker. Any suggestions?

Not sure if you'll get a place to stay. May be Hassan/belur could be a chance. Or take a chance to ckr.

Guys, I may drop in if we have a G2G planned this weekend (no rooms available in Belur/Chikmangalur so far ). Sunday morning please. If I come, I'll have to return back to BLR in the evening, hence morning only.
