After clearing customs and other paperwork, I'll be heading out for a tour around India and ending up in Delhi.

Here's my intro thread on xBHP for more info: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/who-you/...ome-india.html

I'd like to meet you guys and see what the biking scene here is all about I'm out this weekend (family roadtrip to Thirupati, pooja for the returning son ) but when's the next G2G happening? How about something next week, like Friday (15th)?

I'm in Porur and going to suck to be without two wheels until sanDRina (my DR650) arrives You guys know about some spare two wheels I could use till my bike arrives?

      Cheers,

Sriram, Nishant, Jafar, Anant, Dinesh, Rajiv - what say? That's already (including me) seven of the usual suspects. I'm sure plenty more are itching to ride before the heat hits us with full force! Fearless Leader! We need some leading! : D
I'm IN. We don't have much time before climate make it impossible to ride anywhere in south. If we can pull out some plan before 2nd week of april, i think it will be good. Kuttralam was good and I wish to do something like that (a 5 days long run) again.

@Sunny - Looks like chennai thread is either in hibernation or fainted because of no doses of rides . only way to keep it alive is to plan a ride soon. I personally wish to do some high hills and twisties to beat the heat. Lets start some planning now. Goa will be a good destination but again, just 5 days might not be enough.

So plans are pouring IN, thanks Aargee.
I am good for any plans provided I get decent food to eat and clean bed sheets to sleep. Beer is something which is welcome drink after day full of riding .
Aargee, do you have any suggestions for place to stay for nights during the trip in these places ? not sure but we might have to book places in advance due to season time in case we are picking these places for the trip !

Accommodation can be found, not an issue, but you're bang right on the part of advance booking due to seasonal time This is why I prefer riding to RJ in Summer & Kodi in Winter

As usual, numbers & dates are necessary to plan for anything & everything

This calls for a voting booth . We need preferred dates when this ride can be done. We got few free birds who have no issues with leaves where as poor souls like me need advance booking in calender. but 4 days ride plan looks like a yummy deal.

I would vote for going via Sathyamangalam for sure!

But, It is a very Time consuming route (Calls for a photo session every other corner!!) - Riding with a Big Gang would mean more stops & more photos

                  Example:

For Staying in Pollachi, There are only a handful of BIG hotels & other small lodges (Agreed, If we could stay in Mypadu - WE CAN STAY ANYWHERE!!)

But, I would personally love to stay somewhere in the middle of a Coconut farm or the likes. There is one I know along the banks of Aaliyar Dam. I could get the details when we all meet up next time.

And as planned long long back, We could hunt for permissions to Grass Hills, Must be a different experience.

                    Very difficult!
You cannot ride there, even if you get permission which again, is not given to more than 4 persons!

I thought it was limited to 2/3 jeeps a day. which is enough to cover the whole gang.

And Mr.Deepak - You know better than all of us on where to stay & where to go around Western Ghats. Pour in your suggestions.

Actually the climate is already super-hot in here. Especially Kerala-side is literally a burning oven. We had a difficult time traveling through there. So i don't know what will really satisfy you guys after traveling quite a distance. If you just want to ride irrespective of climate, may be try out- Pollachi-valparai-athirampally which might bring smiles on the cornering enthusiasts. I think some of you would have already tried this after they re-laid the roads last year.
