Friends,

We are planning for a ride to Ooty / Avalanche this March - 1, 2, 3 (Saturday, Sunday & Monday)

If you are interested to join in, drop in a reply. We would take the final headcount on Wednesday (12 February 2014).

We are in talks with the Forest Office for accommodation in the Forest Guest House in Avalanche.

If it does not pan out, We are looking at GlenGarth Villa. (Same resort used in Chennai xBhp ride to Ooty 2011).

Are senior citizens allowed to join? If so, I humbly request permission to join in.

Chennai group cannot go without senior citizen's participation, whether it's Ooty or Mypadu. We have a track record from the past!

I seem to have missed this owing to my heavy work / personal schedule of late.

I work in Chennai and visit my parents who are Bangalore based a few times every month. I own a Duke 390 and have been riding this route since I got it - have done this 4 times so far and wish to know if there are others who ride this route often.

My schedule is usually as follows -
1. Chennai to Bangalore: Start either on Friday or Saturday morning, around 6-7am from OMR
2. Bangalore to Chennai: Start either on Sunday or Monday morning, around 6-7/7-8am from Hosur Road

I usually do this in 4-4.5 hours depending on traffic - take an average of 250 minutes door to door. I only stop to refuel once if I start with a full tank. No other breaks.
I am really not interested in going fast or breaking records. It would be nice to ride this route with other people.

I have seen a group of Harley riders while going to Bangalore on a Friday morning once. I have also seen one chap with an RTR180 do this and one R15V2 rider who likes to ride solo

I ride solo a lot im more of a speed demon, pulsar 230 and so i dont need to stop for fuek only mcdonalds maybe yo wanna come for a ride on sunday to pondy to get accustomed to each others riding styles

I am very safety focussed, though I do cruise at 130+ most of the time on the highway. 120 for me is the most ideal speed but I honestly dont mind any speed (can even potter around at 40 all day) as I love riding and thats whats important.

Can you share the map location of where you will be riding and when you are going to start? Is it to the Pulicat bird sanctuary or the pulicat lake inside TN borders?
