Sorry to barge in uninvited, but I needed some info about a Delhi-Bangalore ride. Has anyone here done this? I need info about road conditions, places that I can stay for the night etc etc.

Place for stay depends on the area you want to stay in. Its a vast city, so just can't tell you 1 place to stay in.
Look for hotel deals on makemytrip, yatra etc., once you know which area to look out for.

Sirjee 2100kms bina raaste mein soye hue toh nhi travel kr skta na, so asking for a place along the route perhaps around nagpur (coz that's in the middle of both) to sleep for a couple of hours.

Its been a long time since we rode to Mysore, so we can either head to Mysore for breakfast or head to the CCD near Hassan. Hassan sounds better IMO.

Those who are in, please confirm. I will post the meeting place and time once i see confirmations for this ride.

I might be riding in that direction, dunno where though ! Its been ages since I got back on the saddle after last week and don't want to take break!

Plan is to meet up at 5am and start the ride by 5.30 am. We should be back by 2pm latest.

Which direction are you headed? Mysore or Hassan? Most probably i'll ride towards Hassan. Good roads with not much traffic.

P.S. Next month, Monday, April 4th is a holiday for Ugadi. I'm planning a ride to either Ooty / Karwar / Mangalore on the weekend (2nd & 3rd of April - Sat-Sun). Lets see which place gets voted for.

My friend came back from Kundapur yesterday.Its a natural oven it seems adi.So reconsider your decision to make it to Karwar or mangalore and a two day weekend means ooty would be like Chikpet or K.R.Market

Thanks for the update Phani. April 4th is still far off. I just want to make up for the lost opportunity (Munnar ride) so shooting in the dark now. I'm getting increasingly restless as the days go by and the munnar pictorial report is making it worse.

Kodaikanal is just under 500 kms and fits well into the plan. Been to Ooty twice already and to Wayanad too. Jeez, there was a plan to ride to Coorg which never happened. (Wake up and smell the coffee thread which led us elsewhere).

So it'll either be Kodai or Coorg depending on the weather. Coorg has a place in my heart for the awesome homestay experience. So in all probability it'll be Coorg unless the weather keeps us away.

But for the ride this saturday, are you game?

I may not be able to make it adi, off commitments Kodai is a nice getaway if you are interested in some off roading,its double the fun(I know you would not do it with a ninja ).

Sir ji.. i could have come, but my bike needs to get serviced this Saturday. There is some pathetic sound coming from my engine. So need to get it checked. I will try my best to come...
