how about something on kanakapura road ? Sangam , Mekedatu etc are there ( ~80kms). The highway is a single lane twisty road. Dont know its present condition though ..
        Or shivanasamudra falls ( 140 kms )?
Shivanasamudra is tempting. Lets see what others have to say.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I was riding on Kanakapura road last Monday. The road from Kanakapura to Bangalore is good with small potholes here and there...

              • ok guys.. Got some inputs from strider & tulinisarg.
Some of the suggested places are yelagiri hills, manchanabele dam, tg halli dam, horseley hills, mulbagal & shivasamudram falls.

                Lets vote for our preferences.

Any place within that distance is good for me. I'm just desperate for a good ride, not the destination

                        • Yes the dams are too near. Im in favour of Horsley hills or Yelagiri.

Been to yelagiri recently - excellet roads but nothing to do ( honesty , just the ride would do for me )
Horsley - not sure how good the road after NH4 is is but the place seems to look good ..

Kanakpura road is in good condition. But not like mysore road where you can cruise at 100kmph. You have dogs and humans crossing. A little painful

Shivanasamudra is the place we need to visit. After some showers, it would be delightful.

Shivanasamudra is my vote! We can visit Elagiri and dams in all seasons. But Shivanasamudra must to be done now. What say guys?

PS: Exams over! Which means i can join back riding!
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, "Wow! What a Ride!"
