Need some help with the info on road conditions.

Route 1. Gooty - Bellary - Hubli - Belgam

Route 2. Raichur - Kopal - Hubli - Belgam

Please help if you are aware of the present road conditions and also advise on the traffic levels of the routes.

Can any one help me with road condition and traffic state if i have to get to Hosur from Hoskote.

Las week tried taking some route with local help but got stranded in traffic for a hour. please help me out. looking to make it to Hosur the fastest way possible.

Adi, you wanna do "3. Via Mysore-Ooty-Comibatore-Pollachi : 500 Kms" route? Its only 30 kms more than the "shortest" route. And we'll be riding through Ooty again :P

Sounds very tempting. Long time since I had those yummy chocolates.

But the plan is to ride thru Salem, meet the chennai boys and ride with them to Munnar.

Since the distance is too long for old guns like us (Sunny and me), i reckon i'll leave for Salem on Thursday evening (March 10th). I'll sleep overnight in Salem and head to Munnar early next morning with Sunny (and gang?). Let me know if you are OK with this. We can leave together on the evening of march 10th for an overnight stay in Salem.

I'd love to Ajay but riding 500kms at a stretch would take me a long time and i would be exhausted to the core at the end of the trip.

I have done 500 kms in one day... the last trip to Yercaud when Ashutosh was here. But this was with a long lunch break and several short breaks thrown in-between. Still took an entire day for me. I can't imagine how iron butt's like you (no offense) and many others do the saddle sore trips.

I prefer to break the journey and enjoy the ride... ride comfortably. i dont want to risk getting fatigued and crash. We can ride together from Salem, if you guys are taking that route.

Hahaha. yes dude. Before i got the ninja, my biking trips were limited to intra-city commutes only.

I've done the 500kms trip only once and just when i was entering blore, at the end of the trip, i just wanted to get home and stretch my legs. Had enough of riding for a day.... not young anymore, you see.
